UPDATE- the owner called me after I posted my review yesterday and asked if I would be willing to give them a chance to fix my nails. The owner herself met me this afternoon and upon seeing my nails she decided to remove and completely redo the manicure. Not only was this mani much faster, but definitely higher quality and in line with the amount I was charged originally. Although the polish is now perfect, unfortunately due to the bad filing/shaping that was done by the first technician, she had to change all of my nails to a short almond shape which I don’t like. Communication about this was handled great though, and I understood and agreed to this solution. One negative- for a long time during my re-do one of the other employees stood over the table while the owner was fixing my nails and it made me a bit uncomfortable. I understand if the tech that did my nails was upset by my review, but I felt singled out and on edge by the behavior. Overall, the excellent customer service and re-do of my nails has redeemed this place. While it won’t be my first choice in the future, it’s nice to have a backup option in the neighborhood.
Quite literally the worst manicure I’ve ever had. Polish is blotchy, bumpy, rough all over like sandpaper, bare spots even after multiple costs, shape is wildly inconsistent and not even remotely coffin (which is what I went in with and asked for) but anytime I asked for modification she just kept making them shorter. To top it off, it cost $10 more than my usual place and took longer. Never again. Im going to my regular place nearby tomorrow to get it completely redone. One star for the nice people. Zero for...
Read moreI just came back from my first visit to this salon. The salon appeared clean and inviting, one-star. They fit my friend and me in before the Friday afternoon rush by having one technician doing the manicure and one technician doing the pedicure for each of us. I have never found that the manicure received in this manner is of any quality, so it was in this case. They get a star for time management. Now, the reasons for the low rating are (1) poor quality hand lotion, (2) stinginess of hand product used, (3) lack of consistency of quality and process of service across the salon, e.g., it is luck if you get a good technician or not. (4) Poor attitude of technician. I gave the technician who did my pedicure a 5.00. I also told her I would have given her more if she had done a better job. Her response made me believe she didn't understand English well, so the "lesson was lost on her."
Will I go here again? Yes (for the benefit of any doubt) I will ensure it is not on a Friday and that I get one technician for both my manicure and pedicure. Please have your technicians wear name tags so feedback can be more...
Read moreI went in for a regular mani/pedi. It’s like I wasn’t even worth their time bc I requested a regular. For $60 what a joke! My entire visit lasted 30min- if that. I didn’t even get color bc I didn’t want it. I like to enjoy my mani/pedi’s but this was like super flash speed the whole way thru. I think scrubbing the souls of my feet lasted 3 seconds on each side. My “massage” if I can even call it that, lasted maybe 1 min each side. This is the first review I’ve ever done. I felt it was needed after that experience.
Update: I appreciate your comment and phone call back immediately. The manager here made it right, which shows they have respect for good customer service. I’ve added a few stars for that. My suggestion is if a regular mani/pedi is going to be quick like it was, perhaps charging a bit less for people on the go?! I wasn’t on the go, but $60 for what I had was well beyond what I should have...
