Planet Fitness — Local services in Griffin

I signed up for a Design Your Own (DYO) Program slot. I arrived at about 2:24PM. The gentleman at the front desk pointed to a dimly lit corner room and said our trainer Laura is over there if you want to let her know that you're here. I walk over and say to her that I signed up for the DYO at 2:30. She said, " yeah I generally recommend the classes or the Circuit." I say that the classes don't fit my schedule. She says, "Well, it's only 30 minutes and not enough time to show much." So I try to gain clarity of the purpose of the DYO, and she says it's generally for the advanced exerciser who wants to do something different. Well, hell, if I were advanced, I wouldn't need help designing my own workout routine. So I say to myself, "Let me just see if there's another trainer." I go back to the front desk, and I'm told no other trainers. I ask for the manager to see if he/she can provide guidance. .. and I'm informed that they don't have one at this time. Listen, I wasn't looking for a full-blown training session, just guidance on the machines that I could use when I came in on my own after my 30 minutes of cardio...total waste of time something I have very little of...decent gym as long as you don't need any guidance. Laurie reluctantly offered to "show" me some equipment. SMDH....I guess I'll hire an actual trainer in this area to build a workout for me to use... maybe I was mistaken as to the purpose of the DYO...but according to the PF website - direct quote "If you'd like a customized workout plan, just sign up for a Design Your Own Program session. You can sign up through the PF mobile app, on your club’s website page, or simply stop by the front desk. You'll meet with our certified trainer to discuss your fitness goals, medical background, and exercise history, and they’ll create a customized program just for you."....clearly creating a customized program is not the purpose of the DYO at the...

TLDR: older white man 10+ years older than me has harassed myself and minors while at the gym. Local staff and PF management took 0 steps to help. Countless calls and weeks later they said camera footage of the harassment isn’t enough, so the creepy old white man won’t be banned.

If you wanted to preyed on but a crusty older balding white man in navy blue ON brand shoes, black track pants, and a grey under armor shirt, please go to this gym!

If you’re a minor or bring multiple friends to the gym with you to feel safe, even that won’t stop him! Camera footage means nothing to Planet Fitness, even with the exact dates and times of the harassment.

Report him for following you around in the gym on multiple occasions and he’ll hide in the mens bathroom!

Women and teens, stay away from this gym. I filed a report and the gym decided “not to ban me or the pedophilic predator”. No idea why I was considered being banned. I never approached this crazy man because I had no idea what he was capable of besides stalking and other harassment.

He’s also been caught doing this to other young women who may also be a minor.

Stay safe and choose another gym that isn’t Planet Fitness.

If you’re a woman 30’s and under, be sure to bring a friend if you have nowhere else to exercise. This didn’t keep me safe, but maybe it’ll work for you.

Would rate 0 starts if I could. Sickening establishment with a summer program that allows teens as young as 14 years old to workout in their establishment— a playground for this balding older white man who also enjoys smiling creepily at women.

Cancel my membership now this is the biggest joke of a company I've ever seen quit taking my money it has been years

It has been almost a year I know I've asked several times but I will be talking to a consumer attorney if Amazon can get sued for their cancellation practices planet fitness can too. Once again cancel my membership.

Been paying my membership for the past year Walk in this morning and they tell me that my account was negative or something from March of this year comes out of my checking account every month. Just like everybody else's. The staff is insanely rude especially the woman. If you want to see the video I've got it too. When a customer ask you to stop speaking to them so they can try to get a issue resolved that should be your only response is silence. Whoever she is I will do whatever I can to make sure she doesn't have a job there anymore. I didn't come to work out this morning just to get berated and someone tell me that I owe money from 7 months ago when it comes out of my checking account every month. Try your best and find another gym. I would not recommend this one. Now they won't let me cancel my account because they say it's behind.

In response to this once again I had no problem paying for a year solid. Also had no problem paying that also bringing my husband and employees for memberships as well. So definitely sorry I did that. I will gladly pay the $23 so I never have to step foot near your gym again. 100% don't understand how this is a sustainable...
