We came in right at opening on the weekend. The location is bright and clean. The service and hosting were good, attentive without being overbearing.

The portions are gigantic. I had not been to this location and was expecting to get what is fairly run of the mill portions as common with the industry in general. I ordered a quesadilla and a poblano. There was SO much food.

The poblano comes fried with your preferred filling. I ordered it a la carte without sides. I could tell this was a 'stick in the microwave' version of what otherwise could have been extremely good. It has all the proper components to be exceptional, except that it was about half warmed and obviously reheated. Not at all worth making issue about but given that first time experience impression, I would not order again.

The quesadilla was nicely sized and came with a side of lettuce, tomato, sour cream and onions, and I think I got rice on the side. This presented really well and all was fine until I tried a bit. It was SO salty, I mean like drinking sea water kind of salty. Admittedly, I am a bit salt intolerant so I don't use much. My own impression is probably beyond what a person who regularly consumes salt would experience. I had to ask for a glass of water at the end just to help clear some of that out.

The tea was very good and as mentioned above our wait staff was exceptional and perfectly attentive. I did as well I could towards eating what I had ordered but could not finish the large portions. The other people we came with enjoyed their food(s). The Texas fajitas were very impressive, and very good. I honestly would have liked to order that instead, lol.

This location is a bit out of the way for us and landed on due to being about the middle for the folks we were meeting. I would eat here again, try something different but would not go to special lengths to make it happen given the competition even in this area for restaurants...

As a customer I highly suggest this restaurant. The have good food with an excellent and very clean kitchen staff. As an employee I cant say the same. I've been there nearly 3 months and dont feel as if I'm a valued team-member which is why i only gave 4 🌟 I am 23 years old and have an extensive work history at various prestigious restaurants all around Altanta and Georgia in many different positions including Bubba-que in Woodstock, McDonalds, Burger King, Jamba Juice, IHOP, a barback at the BQE bar and lounge on Edgewood Ave., etc, but for them to hire and 18 y/o teenager on his 1st job and pay him $1 more than me is preposterous. I especially feel strongly about this seeing how my work experience shows when I'm there as I've worked many different positions in this restaurant alone including food runner, bustboy, DMO/Dishwasher, and am still studying the menu to become a server because "hopefully" it'll be more money for me. All personal accounts to the side i.e. one employee having a home with their parents or siblings or spouse while another is sleeping in the back of a car that he/she hopes they can save enough money to purchase I think its wrong the way I have been treated by many of the employees and that i dont recieve pay work for and deserve. I had just about given up on La Parrilla as it was never one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, yet I love Mexican food. I recently visited a La Parrilla for lunch with a co-worker after years of not going. I was quite pleased with the fast service and great food. Hubby and I went for dinner last night (Sun, 8/21) and my oh my was the food AH-MAZING!!! Yasmine was our server and was PHENOMENAL!!! My hubby is that person that "goes to a chicken place and buys a hamburger." Let me tell you! I only tasted a small piece that fell out of the bun and it was AWESOME! Yes, a Mexican burger. Don't sleep on them! It was juicy, hearty, and cooked to perfection. With everything else increasing in price, I was surprised at both our meals being under $30. I can't wait to get back and will be sure to ask for Yasmine. I was a little perturbed at first because the hostess attempted to clean our table with A napkin. Yes, one napkin. She was too much in a hurry to sit us in a booth. I mean, can't you see the food on the table? Otherwise, our visit was awesome!
