New to this area. I'm used to a more caring pharmacy staff that actually wants out help you (or at least pretends, which is ok in my book) The pharmacy staff is not a very friendly group (no smiles) and are not very interested if you have an issue with your prescription. They don't seem like a very friendly group amongst themselves and this probably rolls over to the public. My very first experience there was the worst when I was sick and had gone there after leaving my doctors office. After waiting in the pick up line, the cashier informed me that there was an issue with one of the two prescriptions. One wasn't filled for an unknown reason per the cashier and then she proceeded to tell me I had to go wait in the other (long) drop off line to have them assist me with that particular script. Each line was long and I waited in both lines combined for a good 20-25 minutes. I think that's unacceptable, especially being sick. A policy I do not understand and have not had this experience in other pharmacies is that when you are there picking up and dropping off at the same time, you have to wait in two separate lines. I've never seen more than one cashier checking people out not matter how long the lines are. Another person waiting in line told me that the drive-thru is full service and quicker to use. You can drop off and pick up in one shot so I use that as often as I can. Why on earth should it be made more difficult for people who actually come in the store, oftentimes because they're buying other items. I usually use the drive thru and go somewhere else for my other purchases. I've been asking around for referrals to better pharmacy set ups. Just not a good experience all around. I find I dread...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI switched to Gales Ferry and what a difference!!! Some of the longevity Pharmacy Techs are amazingly rude at GROTON!! Obviously they are so overwhelmed but please find your kindness WHEN working with the public. They are not a branch of the DEA nor the MD. We all know that they are just techs with tudes. I started a new med and I am having stomach pain. I HAPPENED to be in Groton so I figured I would ask a question. I asked the Tech to speak with the Pharmacist at 230pm on the 22nd about it. She asked what med. She asked the Pharmacist he said it's not a side effect and to call my MD. So much for Professionalism he couldn't even step over to consult section. Screamed across the Pharmacy. Here is the SCARY part I get a text video 1 hour later from CVS regarding my new med and how it CAN cause stomach pain and will subside 2 weeks or sooner. Moral to this story Groton CVS has plummetted to a non caring Pharmacy with Pharmacists AND Techs JUST collecting a paycheck. And they ALL make comments about CORPORATE making millions from COVID and staff gets nada and in turn what do they do give NADA service and continue to treat customers...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI had an exceptionally poor visit when I went to CVS. Upon entering the store at approximately 6:00 am, I immediately went to get a thank you card and a gift card and then pick up some hair products that I ran out of. I casually went to the makeup aisles. I overhear an employee named Joe, or some other J name if it is okay for him to leave, and the woman responds ādonāt worry about me, Iāll be okay!ā. During this whole conversation, Joe is watching me from the exit. I continue browsing. The woman employee comes to me, fails to address me but begins following me and watching me. There is another woman, who is white, in the store but this woman is focused on me. I leave the area to check out and see the other woman who entered the store waiting. The woman employee then rushed to checkout and begins checking us out. As a black woman this made me truly uncomfortable. Her implicit bias made me a target of racism and truly uncomfortable in the store. Iām a working professional, assistant principal, and I was made to feel as if I was a danger to...
