The logistics were fairly efficient and parking was easy, with pedestrians being cooperative and even helpful. The parking locations were very good and ours was perfect for the fireworks show (of course, the earlier you arrive, the better), which was outstanding! Food choices were small (pizza, mexican, ice cream) but very good. People were friendly, the band was engaging and played well, with the atmosphere very laid-back, feeling like an "any small-town USA" traditional fairground celebration of our independence. The fireworks show didn't start until after 9pm (we arrived@6:45), but was worth the wait-fantastic! Since we arrived early and parked close to the stage, which was also extremely close to the fireworks show, leaving the premises took time (approx. 20min.), but all considered most drivers weren't too pushy and police assigned to this event did well directing traffic.
