BEWARE!!! We reserved a pontoon boat in February for July. The rental agreement included a cancellation policy which stated we could cancel and get a refund for any reason, as long as we didn't cancel within 48 hours of our reservation date. 2 months later, we had to cancel. I called and cancelled, waited over 2 weeks and never received a credit on my statement. I called back. I was told to call the person that handles refunds to get a "refund tracking number". I called that person and he had no clue what I was talking about. I sent him screenshots of our reservation email. He said they'd changed websites and billing companies and we'd have to call their previous billing company to get our refund. I called the billing company. They said they'd settled out all payments with Guntersville Boat Rental and couldn't process a refund because their booking links were no longer on their website. They sent both me and Guntersville Boat Rental the same email explaining this and explained that I would have to be reimbursed with cash or check by the rental company. Guntersville agreed to mail me a check. 2 different men claimed to have mailed us a check. Nearly 3 weeks go by and no check came. I messaged them a few times and didn't get a response for several days. When they finally responded we were told the secretary had mailed a check. I finally got them to agree to give me a check in person but I had to drive an hour away to get it. I was told that they normally don't give refunds but they were doing so as a courteousy (lol, wow). When I got there the check was for the rental price but short the $48 sales tax. This was once again blamed on the billing company. The billing company charged a $36 non-refundable service fee for processing the original payment and they performed said service). All of these charges were itemized on the receipt along with the cancellation policy. My sales tax wasn't refunded. It's been 6 weeks. These people don't honor their policies, they blame shift, lie, stall, dodge, avoid, make excuses, drag everything out and still refuse to give you the full refund they agreed to and insist on blaming it on a company that they contracted to handle their payments. It's not the customers responsibility to fight their battles for them. If the billing company caused any of this, they should hold them accountable, not their customers. I don't normally leave bad reviews, I'm not a "Karen", but people need to be warned and after reading other reviews, from their previous website, before they added LLC to their name, I see I'm not alone. The owner's son gave a 5 star rating over there to bring it up to a 2.7 For some reason someone posted A review with a picture of themselves in a bikini on a boat that's dated 5 months ago? That would've been in late January and it would've been freezing. đ¤ Her boyfriend left a review 5 months ago too; I guess they were both just catching up on their reviews from last summer? Maybe it was the billing company?...

We never exceeded the people or weight limit. As we were riding along at a snailâs pace, the engine shut off and we were never able to get it to crank again. We called the rental place multiple times and every time, the person answering the phone told us âlet it sit a while, Iâm not coming out there because of a user errorâ. We let the boat sit for about an hour, still calling the rental place every 15 minutes. Finally, they agreed to come check on their boat and coincidentally, they couldnât get the boat to crank either! đ§ Upon arriving back to the dock, the workers said the 2023 motor was still under warranty and it shouldnât be a problem to fix. That evening, the owner started making unauthorized charges to our credit card without ever telling us what the charges are for. We paid for a full day on the water and only got a couple hours before their pos boat stopped running altogether. The owner never offered to reimburse us even a half a day. I started reading Google reviews on this place and saw where someone else rented the same 2023 Bentley pontoon boat 3 weeks before we did and said the boat was broken when they rented it and never ran right- then the owner started making unauthorized charges on their cards for repairs as well. However, the boat they wanted to give me didn't have a canopy, for a 8hr rental in July. I requested a canopy and they "upgraded" me to a larger boat that the rental had been canceled on. That "upgrade" was trash. No ACCs worked, No lights, No horn, No radio, etc and the canopy was ripped, though it didn't interfere with its use. For the money we paid, $600 for 8hrs, it was not worth it. We still had a great time and made the most of it, but every other rental place was $300-400 for 8hrs and have working equipment. If the price for that boat was lowered to $200-$250 I would have given 5-stars. You can't rent old beat up equipment for the highest price in town and keep your business going.
