My grandma was checking out with my husband and this had to have been the worst service ever. My husband bought us little sandwiches from the deli which were delicious, but when it came to checking my grandma out Emma was all but friendly. My grandma’s pin was not working for her new debit card which clearly got on Emma’s nerves, especially with no line behind them.
Then my grandma forgot her cigarettes (which she never buys them from that store) so unfortunately for Emma, my grandma had to check out once more. My husband and grandma come back out to the truck, excited to eat our sandwiches and continue our family day/picnic while we are in town (from Texas) I realized we needed some mayonnaise and mustard.
I run into the store to grab some from the deli and immediately hear Emma chatting with the other cashiers about my grandma. Read moreFoodland Guntersville....the store has always been clean, well lit, well stocked, good deli, and most employees usually offer good hopitality and service. As of late Foodland has advirtised deals, sales, etc. in the local paper and then when we arrive to shop we learn that the advirtisment was false. At first we attributed this to poor wording or a misunderstanding in the written advirtisment. However, we have determined that the published advirtisment's published are intentional lies in order to trick the customer into the store. After the multiple occurrences of untrue publications, we have decided to not do any business with Foodland in Guntersville in the future. Since we make every effort to patronize locally owned and operated businesses in our hometown, this is a big deal to me and a sad situation.
UPDATE: Mommy is the couponer and deal seeker of the house. She spent some time sharing our experience (with our local Foodland) with other ladies that we know. The specific sales, deals, etc. that weren't honored at our Foodland were honored and in good standing at two OTHER Foodlands. I don't know the reason or explanation, just...
