Wildcat Cafe — Restaurant in Guntersville

I'm giving it two stars because the service was good and the food was good. I'm not giving it the three additional stars because of how horrible this place is on our environment. Here's my review: Nothing fancy, just a locally owned hamburger/hotdog/chicken finger place. We ordered the only appetizer on the menu, cheesesticks. The waitress brought our utensils (plastic, wrapped in plastic). Then she brings the drinks (large styrofoam cup). Our cheesesticks came out in a throwaway paper container. When our dinner came out, we added two styrofoam plates to our table, I forgot to mention the styrofoam cup the dipping sauce came in. The food was decent for that type of joint, I kinda enjoyed that cheeseburger, and I'm NOT a fan of cheeseburgers. But I will NEVER eat here again; not unless they change how they serve their food. Now, I'm no tree hugger, but when I looked at our table, I thought WOW!!!! What a lot of styrofoam and plastic! Can you imagine what an impact that place has on our environment in one week 😰🤯 It's pretty scary. I know I'm not saving the world, but I'm doing MY part, a little at a time. I was traveling to Guntersville for a work conference and wanted to find something to eat that was local to the area. I did a quick search as I was traveling and didn’t look too much into the reviews, unfortunately. When I pulled up and saw the condition of the exterior (building and parking area), I should’ve just gone somewhere else. But sometimes places with a rough exterior turn out to be amazing so I gave it a shot.

When I walked in the door, both of the ladies that were working there just stared at me blankly, as well as some of the patrons in the booths. It gave me a sense of the twilight zone, to be honest, I had to ask if I was supposed to seat myself.

The table didn’t feel very clean and the salt shaker was covered with ick. The only saving grace was that the food was hot and fresh and tasted good. It seems like the locals like this spot, as there were several people there eating, but I was definitely not impressed with the service orthe condition and lack of cleanliness.

I will not be returning to this...

Food was absolutely great!!! I got a bacon cheeseburger, chicken fingers and fries!!! It was exactly what u would expect from a hometown dairy bar type restaurant, but a lil better than most!!!
