Purchased an alarm/ remote start, to book a installation took 1 month so I thought, I had to take off work on my day of install, the installers decided not to show up for work and not call to tell me. I tried calling someone at the Best Buy corp office but all you get is someone from India who can’t speak English, there is no way you can get connected to the store. Hrs went by and I called the install dept they told me that someone was there and it showed I was a no show , I told him the installers never showed up I was there. They wanted me to make another install date 1 month later, I said why should I have to wait another month when it was their mistake? I went back to the store to talk to store mgr she was tied up so I was greeted by security, he called the installers who were both home to try and get me a earlier appointment, they said no that I would just have to wait another month, the security guy gave me a business card of a experience manager named Jeff Egan the man called me while I was at the store and assured me that he would talk to the installers and get a Saturday install date so I would not loose another days pay. He said he would call back in just a few days, well that never happen, I called the 2 numbers on his card to no avail , he never set up his voice mail so I called several times to no avail. I called the geek squad and had him relay a message to the store manager to call me back, she did and I explained the situation, she did apologize and told me she would straighten this out, Well another professional never called me back, this run around was getting ridiculous! I called Jeff back this time he had set up his voicemail, I left a message and he finally called back, he set up a new install date for Saturday, I took my truck and the installers showed up. They had my truck from 8am to 1:30 pm that day. They showed me how the system works keeping all my user manuals, I asked why my change/ fuse box door won’t close and the installer said that’s because there is a lot of wires behind it so it won’t shut, I just wanted to get out of there. I love the remote start but they only give you 1 display remote, would be nice if there were 2. 2 days later my wife said did you test the alarm part? I told her the alarm sets but I never tested, I’m sure the installer did…… WRONG!!! Sure enough the system says armed but if you open the door nothing happens!! Surprise surprise, I now have to wait another month for a Sat appointment, I’m so done with this place. Compustar remote start alarm, very nice if you can get someone reliable to install it!
UPDATE: OK made another appointment on.Saturday 8:00am I was promised by Jeff Egan a new Display remote due to all the trouble they put me through, Guess what no remote it takes time to get to the store Jeff explained, installer didn't show up until 8:30 , I just wanted this fixed and over with. I waited until 11:30 at a local Starbucks I went back over to Best Buy and the installer was having trouble getting the alarm part to sound. Finally he figured out the correct wire to connect. I told Jeff to send the remote to my home. Everything has been working to this date, but still no remote, I called Jeff again and he told me he would have to get with the installer to figure out what remote to order, can you believe this? 2 weeks later and still no remote and Jeff won't answer my text messages. I wouldn't recommend this company for anything, in the past I have purchase many electronic devices for personal and business use without issue. But after this experience im done. They are just so unprofessional and not one Best Buy employee has followed up on...

On March 13th, a refrigerator was delivered to my house directly from Best Buy. They didn't have the notion to investigate the rattling around sound coming from the inside of the fridge, because after they left and I opened the fridge door, 2 of the shelves were completely busted off of the door, as well as a freezer shelf. I immediately contacted Best Buy support, who told me I would have to go to the Garland Groh Best Buy to get the replacement shelves. To no surprise, I drive an hour and a half for absolutely no reason. Jeff Egan, the "Experience Manager" sitting inside the door, told me I would have to call 1-800-BESTBUY and request to have the shelves replaced. So I call this number, only to once again have 0 help. Thankfully, Jeff gave me his business card and told me to reach out to him if I'm still having issues. On March 18th, I emailed him with the serial number for the fridge and told him I had no luck with the support number. I never got a response, so my partner called him a day or two later to ask if he had looked into it, just for Jeff to speak to her in a condescending and unprofessional tone. It could not be any more obvious that he was annoyed by the phone call. Jeff says he will update us when he gets any updates, but that never happened. We constantly had to email and call Jeff to get any sort of response. I emailed him on March 25th, asking for an update, two weeks after the fridge had been delivered, to which he replied that it would be another week. A week passed by, and I finally got the shelves delivered to my house, and I only received 2/3 replacement shelves. We called Jeff and told him that we were still missing a shelf. Days go by with no update, I emailed on April 16th, stating that it had been over a month since the delivery date, and I still don't have all my replacement shelves, hoping there would be a sense of urgency and an understanding that I am getting annoyed with the lack of support. 3 days later, on April 19th, I received an email that there was an issue ordering the last shelf, and they may have to try another method. I replied and confirmed for Jeff which shelf it was that still needed to be replaced. Today is July 17th, I never received the last shelf I needed. It takes a lot for me to write a negative review, but this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. Read moreCustomer service and atmosphere are key, for me!! The store manager and another employee were being loud and hostile in demeanour, anytime I caught sight of them. I witnessed these employees, who one wasn't wearing a name badge, humiliate a homeless person, who was using their basket for her belongings, by dumping the cart on the sidewalk, as I first pulled into the parking lot.
I don't know the scenario, but I would have felt more comfortable seeing the police address the situation and not an employee. I needed to go get my phone checked out, but I went to try to get this lady a few bags or water or something, at the store next door, and SHOUT OUT to the 5 BELOW at this location, they were ready to help her too! I will say I saw a man from the best buy already getting bags for her things. Everyone was talking about what just happened at the hand of the other best buy ladies. Me and a few customers tried to pitch in, so redemption, but what was going on, why did the other lady throw her things on the sidewalk and this guy is being a sweetheart!? As offended as me and everyone else who witnessed it was, that was the only saving grace, short of the small mob of good souls I was with in 5Below rushing best buy to find some kind of justice for this lady? because as a company... Is your basket so important you had to treat another human like that? I dropped tears!? I still went into the store after speaking kindly to the lady on the sidewalk and offering help. I went to the phone aisle, but ya know what.... I'm good. I will never shop at a best buy, again... I had to question why I even still walked in the store in the first place? The police were outside when I left the store helping the lady move her things to a cooler area..... Aside from what I witnessed, the store lacked qualified or interested employees, no one asked if I needed help... Prices were not marked well on displays, and cleanliness... Well, it was interesting pulling up to a store front with a lady getting bombarded and harassed with personal belongings all over the sidewalk, it looked trashy and felt worse. Go to your own phone providers and electronic suppliers or anywhere but best buy...
They ( best buy) hired that lady, who ever she is, and she's management!? I hated working under bullies and evil people like that, in my retail days!
