We had to make a run to Home Depot and since the kids wanted pancakes for dinner, decided to hit iHOP across the street.
It’s been a while since we’ve been here and it’s usually around breakfast rather than dinner. Place was not busy at all, got seated right away and then spent almost 10mins waiting for a server to greet us take our drink order. By that time, we already knew our food order and gave that when we had ordered our drinks.
After another 10mins and still no drinks, we spot our server standing by the sofa/drink station talking with 2 other servers. I watched her for a few minutes thinking she was waiting to get to the drink station.
Nope, both of the other servers went to check on their tables (both came in after us, had their drinks and one was just getting their food). Our server went to the register to drop off her soda that she’d been enjoying, while looking at her phone and walked to the back.
My wife then got up to look for her and ask if she could get out drinks. After a few minutes of looking she found her leaning in a counter by the food pass through window. She got her attention and asked if she could get our drinks. The server rolled her eyes looking at the greeter that was next to her and replied “sure, I can get your drinks” as she continued to lean near the pass through window. My wife then said, could you get them now? The server just looked at her.
My wife came back to the table, we were both pretty pissed at this point and decided we could get the kids pancakes at Cracker Barrel instead.
As we were walking out, 30mins after arriving, the server was finally starting to pour our drinks. I waved on the way out as she watched us leave and said to her “Thanks for rushing to get our drinks”.
I don’t see...
Read moreThe last three times I have been here have been horrible. The first time there were knot about three other tables and it took 50 minutes to get our food and I also got horribly sick afterwards but figured maybe it was just me cause I have ate at IHOP multiple times before. The second time it was very late at night and there was one other table than my boyfriend and I. We waited and hour to get our food again. Then this last time was horrible and at this point never want to eat here again. My boyfriend and went here for a quick breakfast before a movie. There were about 5 other tables who had been there way before us. It took the waitress 15 minutes to come even get our drink order. After that it took her 10 minutes to come back to get our food order. After this it took an hour to get our food which they messed up my order and forgot my toast which took 10 minutes to get by the time we had all of our food we had to hurry up and eat it and run to our movie because the tickets were already bought. It took us over an hour and a half at this place and we missed 15 minutes of our movie when we allowed plenty of extra time before hand to eat. That's not even the worst part the whole time the waitresses were talking and goofing off with each other behind the counter and then the one started yelling back to her boss that she doesn't care if she gets written up that she would fight this girl and to tell her to show up..... what kind of service and employment does this place allow? It is absolutely ridiculous and I will not...
Read moreI am writing this review sitting in my vehicle parked in front of the restaurant. I have been eating here for the better part of 5 years and never, have I been treated this badly before. I usually hate leaving bad reviews because I believe it may happen that people sometimes have bad days and shouldn't be judged on a single action but I also understand that it's important to report when it's not good, and hold people accountable for their actions in order to allow them to do better. The store usually closed at 10pm during week days. I came in at 6:40pm. I asked for a table, the server told me that due to the weather management decided to close at 7pm. I replied I understand that but it's 6:30pm, not 7pm. She quickly ran to get a man. The man came with his head high up and I could feel in his manner he was ready to be confrontional about the situation. I decided not to make a scene and just walk away. Listen if you don't want people in your restaurant lock the door, as long as the door is open patrons will walk in and as an employee you are going to have to deal with them in a classy and fashionable manner. I am very disappointed and was expecting...
