Five Guys — Restaurant in Hagerstown

Terrible five guys location , they hire Hagerstowns finest I mean folks that cannot even cook a burger or let alone French fries . I don’t even think they care in the least as they have no management . I was recovering from surgery so my wife went to get us burgers and they were black I mean crispy burnt for $12 even after asking for medium .So she went back up and asked for new burgers showing staff etc the second time it happened the middle aged woman manager got really rude to my nice , sensitive wife. Told my wife that if she didn’t like how they cooked the burgers to not return . I obviously called immediately and told the lady how wonderful she did in life to work as a manager of a five guys but she should seek therapy not verbally abusing customers for asking for new food . So we just don’t eat five guys , it seems to be a location issue as all restaurants in Hagerstown have horrible staff and attitudes , but I expect more at five guys . The original...

45 minutes waiting for an online order. Placed the order at 630, 2 burgers and a grilled cheese with fries. Online said the order would take 10 minutes. Showed up after 15 minutes and was told we were just waiting on fries...no problem. Meanwhile 4-5 groups of people come in after me and place orders. They wait, their food comes, including fries and they go. Wondering where my food is after ive been sitting for half an hour inside waiting for just fries I see the cashier inquiring about my order to which the associate on fry duty say "oh I forgot." As he pulls a bag off of the top of the counter saying this was the order and that it just needed fries. So now have to wait for more fries. So now I have a bag of cold burgers that have been sitting in the temp danger zone for longer than food service allows...but hey the...

the food is delicious but the service is terrible. we came in at 9:15pm on 10/30/20. when we went up to the counter, the girl working just stared at us and didn’t greet us at all. all we got is a “what are you ordering?”

after we ordered, said please and thank you, and gave a $3+ tip (we thought maybe they had a rough night and felt bad, but the cashier couldn’t even thank us or tell us to have a good night)

i understand the annoyance of us coming in late, although the restaurant was open for another 40 minutes, but my boyfriend and i are both healthcare workers and this is as soon as we could come in. not sure if we will ever again if this is how we will be treated for supporting Five Guys business.
