The weis on lietersburg road in haverstown is the BIGGEST joke of a store ever. Just left at 8:15 p.m. they have 5 cashiers with nothing to do. They are all standing in a huddle giggling. The 3 management position people are standing by the office talking. I went through the checkout. I was suppose to get a $1.50 off next purchase coupon for buying to ortho wax. It did not print. I asked the cashier who can help with this. He said the customer service is closed already. He said those three down there are managers maybe one can help. So he hollars down the store BECKY. She comes and says oh i have no clue. So she calls the man over. He says i have no clue. Come back tomorrow. Bring your receipt. I showed him the sign and i showed him the 2 product on my receipt. He says yea i get it we owe you $1.50 but you will have to come back tomorrow to get it. REALLY WEIS IS THE THE FREAKING BEST YOU CAN DO. I know why your stocks are dropping. Hold on because you are going a lot lower. So happens we have stocks of yours and so does my parents. We won't have them after tomorrow. You should treat customers better. You never know who your customers are. I had the last laugh on this one. I will share my experiences with my stocks group on facebook and instagram. Lets see if we can make those stocks drop more then the .11% they dropped today. I will be curious to see where you are...
Read moreI recently visited the Hagerstown store and was horrified to see that live lobsters were crammed into a tiny barren tank. This is cruel to lobsters—complex animals who feel pain—and I hope you will consider getting rid of the tank. Lobsters and fish are recognized by experts as being capable of experiencing great suffering and distress. Scientists in the European Union classify lobsters as “category I” —that is, animals who experience pain. Also in this category are dogs, cats, chickens, pigs, and humans. Dr. Nedim C. Buyukmihci, professor of veterinary surgery, writes, “There is no question that lobsters have the ability to feel pain and suffer … [I]t would be inappropriate to do something to lobsters that you would not consider doing to conscious dogs, cats, or humans.” Dr. Jaren Horsley, an invertebrate zoologist at the National Zoo, found that lobsters possess a “sophisticated nervous system.” Confined lobsters may suffer from stress, low oxygen levels, and crowding—and those who are “chosen” are typically cut up or boiled alive, suffering excruciating pain every second of the three long minutes that it takes for them to die. After hearing from concerned customers, grocery chains like Safeway and Raley’s Supermarkets have discontinued the sale of live lobsters. This should send a strong message to your business that cruelty will not be tolerated. I hope you agree and will remove the...
Read moreNormally I wouldn’t comment on a grocery store but every time I go in here it’s always something. I went in the other day and the parking lot was full and it was during a heat wave. My 7 year old daughter was sick so I ran in and grabbed her medicine. I had a picture of my ID as I left everything in the car except for my phone so I could use Apple Pay. I waited in line over 5 minutes and self checkout was full as well. The cashier told me I needed my ID I said “oh it’s in the car I have a picture” (I didn’t even know you needed an ID for children’s cough syrup) he let me search my phone and I showed it to him. He then said I need the physical ID. I’m clearly over 18. I have tattoos which are visible and I rarely get carded when going to 21+ places. I told him why can’t he just put my birthday in as I’m parked on the other side of the parking lot and it was hot and i have a small sick child with me. He just shook his head. There was a long line behind me. I understand just doing your job but I worked for a grocery store before and if you're clearly over 18 you can just ask for the birthday. it was unnecessary to have me run out to the car. i would understand more if it was if it was alcohol, tobacco, or maybe nyquil but it was childrens cold + allergy. I go to the other weis because its alot more calm this one i never touch and i will never return stopping by just for cough medicine...
