I wanted to share my Russo's experience on here mainly because of the awesome commercial sales rep I lucked out in meeting by chance and working with over the last 6+ months, Mike Kruegger, who has been an absolute godsend in every conceivable way. This guy deserves all due accolades and has been a real pleasure to work with. I couldn't recommend him enough and look forward to working together for many years moving forward as things evolve in this new venture I've undertaken.
I needed an up-to-the-task individual who was going to be able to guide me every step of the way in starting up an in-house landscape maintenance and enhancements division within a $250mm fast food franchisee where one didn't currently exist in any capacity and Mike has just gone so above and beyond in his efforts it's incalculable to quantify and I couldn't be more grateful.
Mike has paid diligent attention to every need and question I could throw at him and in the process completely customized a 100+ product/tools/machines/trailer/etc. setup I couldn't be more satisfied with. Basically I gave Mike a general outlook understanding on what we're trying to accomplish and he tailored our setup all the way to the most finite detail which gives me great peace of mind knowing I'm in good hands with someone who cares and is so passionate about their job.
Every curveball I threw at Mike he had a solution and that's exactly what I needed. I'm not a truck guy, I'm not a small engine machines guy, and I'm certainly not a mechanically inclined or fix-it type of guy but Mike was able to thoroughly educate me every step of the way with everything I need vs. don't need and what to do vs. not to do. Everything I didn't think of Mike was 10 steps ahead of me in thinking and challenged me to consider everything in regard to the potential of this endeavor.
I had zero reservations on pulling the trigger on our equipment and product orders feeling 100% I was doing business with the right person.
More than anything, I'm posting this as a huge THANK YOU to Mike Kruegger for everything he's done for me thus far and everything I know he'll help me with in the future. Russo's had better consider themselves fortunate to have such a fantastic individual on their team. To be as blunt and transparent as possible - I don't know that I've ever experienced better customer service anywhere in my life. What I do know is I wouldn't have been able to get this concept off the ground in the narrow time constraint window I had without Mike forging it all together to make it happen.
with sincere gratitude and...
Read moreCan't give it a Zero... Thought I'd try Russo, as I had moved closer to them than my previous repair shop. I left my chain saw there for a repair, after they told me they weren't sure if they could get the specialized tool for pulling the flywheel off. They indicated the service department was focused on snow removal equipment this time of year, so it may take a bit longer than the 3 week lead time posted on the wall. Seven weeks later I checked in, noting we've had very little snowfall... "Oh the part just came in Thursday, we'll get someone on it, should be done tomorrow." In other words, they forgot about it entirely.
Tomorrow came and went, not until the following day did I find out it was done. Brought the saw home, sharpened it, and tried to remove the sprocket cover... one hex nut came right off, the other was severely stuck, to the point where the stud came off with it. Brought it back in, the guy at the service desk managed to get the hex nut off, but as it turned out, it was cross-threaded; the stud and hex nut both had to be replaced.
The new stud has evidence of being clamped in a vice or something similar, during installation. And I have to wonder, after pulling that steel stud out of the plastic housing a couple of times, what its life expectancy will be. How soon will I need to replace the plastic plate, because of this error?
The 7+ week wait was bad enough. Cross-threading the hex nut on the stud can only happen if the hex nut wasn't started by hand, before tightening it with a power tool. Also, as I pointed out to the guy at the counter, the torque specs for this are on page 6 of the service manual. Had the tech been using a torque wrench, the crossed threads would have stopped the threading process instantly.
Damaging the saw in this manner is simply inexcusable. I think Russo owes me a new saw, but that'll never happen. Sorry Russo, but...
Read moreWORST TRAILER SERVICE. Do not ever take your trailer here for service!! Every single time I have had my trailer here for service, something has gone wrong. You have to stalk the service Dept for an estimate on the work and when it’s even done also. Worst customer service I’ve ever seen for trailers. Half the time when you show up, some dude who doesn’t know anything about trailers is writing up the orders. Last time he didn’t even submit my work order until I called back 3 days later asking about my trailer!
I had bearings repacked and greased, and within a very short time I had a blown bearing and seal that caused me to be stranded. The same thing happened on my last bearing service, and this was only the 2nd time driving. Coincidence?
I bought brand new trailer tires also, and on my first road trip after a few hundred miles I had a completely deflated tire. No rip or tear or puncture, just a faulty or bad tire. I would never ever again come here for any service. Maybe they can sell lawnmowers and snowblowers, but steer clear on...
