My daughter started at Robbinsville KinderCare about 2 years ago, when she was 4 months old. I had researched the numerous daycare centers in the area using the reports by the state health department, to help narrow down our choices by the severity of the findings/violations that I cared about. After visiting a few âpassableâ centers in person, KinderCare gave us the best gut feeling. The directors and teachers are very professional, and obviously care a lot about the kids there. The rooms are open and bright, with lots of safe outdoor play space. When my daughter was in the infant room, infants were never put in a âsit there and entertain yourselfâ contraption of any kind. The teachers were always happily interacting with the babies. When I discussed my daughterâs health issues and special dietary restrictions, they were very accommodating (within the state guidelines they had to follow) and we never had an issue. As my daughter has moved up to the various classrooms over these 2 years, she has always loved attending and her teachers have clearly cared for her too. And she has learned so much; we are constantly impressed with her progression in what sheâs learning! Communication is awesome, with an app that gives us updates throughout the day on diaper changes, meals, naps, and great pictures and videos of their activities (for families who opt in to allow pics; if not, those kids are never in the pictures/videos). And I feel value there overall, knowing that there is a Corporate level to KinderCare, ensuring there is a rich educational curriculum in place, nutritional guidelines for all meals, a safe environment, as well as happy, educated teachers with a very low staff turnover rate.
Now with COVID-19, KinderCare was closed due to state guidelines for 3 months, but the center was in touch with us the whole time with age-appropriate ideas for learning & fun (not that we had any time to implement them due to our working from home complications...but it was nice for them to have a curriculum to share!). As they prepared to re-open, KinderCare was very clear and communicative about what to expect when returning. We sent my daughter back the day they re-opened (about a month ago now), and are happy with the measures they have in place to protect the staff & students. And despite the 3-month sabbatical, my daughter re-acclimated very quickly and is again excited to go to school every day!
Overall, I believe in the value we are getting at KinderCare of Robbinsville. My daughter is happy, safe, learning, and well-cared for, and as a parent thatâs what we look for in our...
Read moreWe are having a wonderful experience at KinderCare Robbinsville. As a mom who initially struggled with the idea of daycare, Iâve felt incredibly supported by the warm, communicative staff who took the time to really understand my daughterâs personality, likes, and needs. She quickly grew to love âschoolâ thanks to their personal attention and the fun, engaging environment. And I quickly came to realize the benefits for her social development and individual growth from being in a new place, learning to adapt to change and all the next experiences she gets to have as a result.
From helping us through potty training to encouraging social growthâlike learning to put away her things, helping and respecting her friendsâthis center has been a true partner in her development. They even made me feel better too as my daughter was experiencing a potty training regression, I was almost in tears one morning overwhelmed and they reminded me sheâs learning so many new things that sometimes they temporarily regress to make space for the new things. That made me feel a lot better and is an example of how much experience the staff has and cares.
I especially appreciate the monthly family events where youâre able to see your child interacting in the school environment, share their excitement for school, and meet other parents. I love how connected we feel through their regular updates, and approachable teachers who are always happy to talk at drop off, pick up, or throughout the day if needed. Another perk is the food! My daughter loves the food and itâs one less thing on my plate to prep for her school days.
My daughter is thriving, and I feel confident knowing sheâs in a place where she feels safe, seen, and excited to learn.
They have set the bar high for any future school...
Read moreI pulled my infant out of this school in April 2011, only after 3 months - Teachers were part-time workers at the end of the day. No one could tell me how the day went by the time I would be there for pick up at 5:30 PM. Teachers would complain about each other to me like they hated each other - and play the blame game. Everyday my child was sent home with soiled clothes. I would come in and hear multiple babies crying and teachers would shrug shoulders and look at me and say "I only have two hands". Finally one day I came to get my son and he had scratches all over his cheeks - NO ONE COULD TELL ME WHAT HAPPENED - but pointed out that he had a sharp finger nail. How long was he crying and scratching his own face???? No one intervened???? This was a nightmare of a place and the director openly told me that the infant room was a mess. I gave notice and paid for the time we had left but never sent my son back - what I should have done was call the police and gotten a full refund. Not sure if the place has improved since then, but as a parent searching for a school to trust their newborn with, I wouldn't risk it. I wish someone would have given me this advice when I was searching - it still haunts me to this day that my child was neglected and treated terribly at 4-5 month old. If I were you, I would run...
