Weis Markets — Local services in Hampstead

Called to see if they had Western Union, lady who answered the phone was extremely snooty. Her answer was um yeah, I asked if that section was open, response ummm no, ok what time do they open sighs loudy and states 10:00, like it was inconvenient for her to answer my question! I’m almost positive I know who it was, I stopped going to that Weis because I’d come early in the am and go to her register and say GM and never would get a response, then she’d slam my items as she’s ringing them up and just act very aggressive. I would expect that from a younger person, but she is older and seems to be in an ill mood every time I came in. I’m sorry I know companies are desperate to get bodies in their stores, but this is ridiculous, my 3 year old well 2 at the time would wave and say GM and never received a response in return, which of course upset her, I explained you can’t expect to get a hello from everyone you encounter honey!! Sorry so long, I’m just so tired of staying quiet about individual being so rude when I spend a lot of money there. I actually shop at the other Weiss which is way out of my way, just so I can get atleast a friendly smile from the staff there! Do better management, train your crew that they wouldn’t have a job if it weren’t for loyal customers who shop there, a smiling face is the least...

I had most disappointing experience with one of the employees. I shop at the store often, using the self checkout register. Several month ago i had interaction with the associate who was watching self checkouts. Back then it was something innocent, i asked her for an assistance, to find out the correct price. From that time on, whenever i shop in the store, this person would immediately drops whatever she is doing and stands right beside or behind me watching me every move. There is always other people using self checkouts, but she turns all her attention to me, turning away from other customers. To make this matter clear : i am a legal immigrant , i do speak with the accent and I believe this is the only reason this particular employee treated me with such disrespect. There was no other reason. She is just openly hates immigrants and cant even trying to hide her hate. Yesterday , i finally addressed this issue and talked to the manager, but I strongly believe that manager will protect and cover for her employee. That is why i am moving further with this issue and planning to complain to BBB and consumer...

This has been my grocery store for 5 years now. Always well stocked no matter what was going on with deliveries and supply. Hubby is trying to make me switch to...well..won't mention name but it's in Westminster and small and sells from boxes on shelves. No way! Weis in greenmont/hampstead is MY STORE. only one small thing... do you really need all those self checkouts? Only two cashiers and one usually open.
