Subway — Restaurant in Maryland

Technology Happens! I understand there can be technical difficulties and can slow things down. In this particular instance the POS (Point of Sale) machine was running slow and had to be rebooted a couple of times to get to working. I get it, it happens. However, there was opportunity for good customer service here but no such thing happened. The line was long and everyone was understanding and polite about it. One customer in particular was in a hurry and had only so much time to take his lunch. He politely asked the lady how much a bag of chips was ($1.10 she said)and he would just leave the money for the chips. She refused to allow him to do this. He walked out. Now he is probably going to tell everyone he knows now how crappy service this Subway has and they will lose lots of revenue. The lady could have done some simple things to maintain good customer service for the inconvenience. Most companies can afford a bit of loss for the sake of customer retention, so offer a footlong upgrade from 6-inches, maybe a free drink or two. That one action of trying to secure that $1.10 probably cost that store hundreds of dollars of future revenue. Lastly there was only one staff working during this particular lunch rush. Some places choose to cut costs and save money over customer service. Do the opposite by treating the customers right and the revenue will come in when they come back with...

So this was my place of work for about 7-8 months they hired me at 15 even though u cant hire until they are 16 years of age 1st mistake. Then everything is done wrong knives are never cleaned and if they are they only use water the tables are wiped down with water nothing is cleaned. Food in the back is touched without gloves. There are about 7 minors working there and if u go in on the weekends no manager is there or of weekdays after 3. Minors are trained by minors. They have rat taps EVERYWHERE. bathrooms are disgusting. The bread is usually hard or undercooked the kids dont know how to clean up after they spill something. Food is usually fine the meat and vegies besides the part that someone in the back probably touches all of those green pepers with their nasty fetus hands. I had a fun time working there but i am sorry to everyone who has eaten or will eat there i hope that this place gets shut down before someone gets sick. Oh btw its not the minors who are nasty workers its the adalts who tought a few minors and thos minors are teaching new employees and its just getting...

I use this subway frequently, or at least I did. I always used the app so that my sub would ready and waiting because I have a very short lunch for my job. However, the past several times I have ordered, my sub hasn't even been started by the time it's supposed to be finished. And it isn't because it's so busy they haven't had time. There might have been one other customer waiting. I have been using the subway 2 miles away at the Jiffy Mart in Hampstead and haven't had a problem at all. Unfortunately, although this location is more convenient in distance, I can't keep using half of my lunchtime waiting for my sub to be made.
