Hong Kong Garden — Restaurant in Maryland

Ok I really don’t like giving bad reviews but this was just too funny . First of all the story begins with me entering that place . Nobody is there to greet you , you are basically alone in that creepy place for 5 minutes . Then comes out this lady , she did smile at me though that was one good thing about it , I unfortunately did not understand what she said when she started talking to me ( and hell I really tried ) Ok , so I am from Germany and not from the US myself , I have been here for around 6 years , I understand that you are struggling, I mean it’s hard to learn a new language! But I think if you are here for a certain time and open up a restaurant , it would be good for you to speak the language of the country you are in . It is just more respectful towards your clients . Otherwise they have to guess what you are saying . Ok that’s one thing . The “ Thai tea” is actually the “ special” tea in their fridge . I tell you what ! The “Thai tea “ is completely normal ice tea ( no milk ) with A LOT of sugar. I think I was being tricked . But ok , the food was terrible and the greasiest food in the world .The paper that was wrapped around the food completely disappeared! Even american food isn’t that greasy! But the worst thing was that : THE FORTUNE COOKIE did not have a fortune inside ! Crazy stuff going on in there ....

Its obvious that these ratings are from real people and definitely not a service that sells them. How could they not be with their incredibly generic comments that say the same thing with a remixed vocabulary....almost like its an algorithm pulling from a thesaurus...and how these comments are very similar across several different review sites. And they definitely sound like things a native English speaker would say.

My experience was really poor. I got the shrimp fried rice. It was ready in 10 minutes which is already suspect for being too fast, and that suspicion was correct. It was not fried at all. The shrimp was undercooked and it was a homogenous yellow rice mixture that showed no signs of every being in a wok. Nothing about it was good and I'm already very wary that the very small amount I did it eat is going to amount to food poisoning.

With as thorough as they were at stuffing menus into every crevice of my house's external structure, I figured they would at least try to make the food good. They didnt even try to...

We placed an order over the phone. We ordered 5 dinners and 2 appetizer. We had to wait over 50 minutes because they said we had a big order. While sitting there people at the only 4 tables they have weren't getting all the food they ordered. They were extremely unorganized a lot of yelling coming out of the kitchen. The man finally brought our food out and said there was a confusion in the kitchen. I asked is all the food we ordered in the bag he assured me it was. We get home and are missing 1 dinner and 1 appetizer. So I called they wanted to give me a credit. I was then upset because that meant someone wouldn't have gotten their dinner and appetizer. Our bill came to $80 they end up bringing us our food and still didn't bring the appetizer we ordered but gave us soup instead. We we didn't eat. The appetizers were 2 orders of crab wontons. The 1 order we did get were so chewy and tasted old and reheated. Very disappointed. That was a total...
