Mrs. Mitchell's Country Shop — Local services in Hampton

My friends and I came here on our day at the beach, we were browsing the store but as soon as we went to look at sweaters one of the co-owners stared starring at us though the shelves. When we went to check out he asked my friend if she had payed for the sticker that was half way out of her pocket, we had bought the sticker at a shop down the street when we stopped for lunch. All of us explained this to him we also showed our receipt from lunch proving we’d been to that store, and offered to pay just to be over with everything, even after all of that he made us all empty our pockets, threatened to call the police and said he would check his security cameras (which would have taken less time than what he made us do). He said if I found my mom and brought her back to the store to have her explain, that he would give the sticker back. I put back what I was going to buy understandably not wanting to support the store. After we retuned with my mom he returned the sticker. Honestly the whole experience ruined the day and was handled unprofessionally especially because it was over...

I was banned from Mrs. Mitchell's because my so called friend stoke magnets. I went the very next day to pay. They wouldbt take the money. Then i went back and was banned for allegedly putting itens in my pocket. NEVER HAPPENED.. A young lady who works for me went and got me a fairy as i asked her to. I dont like it all. And they will not refund me my money. $18.00 isn't at a lot of mobey its just the principal. I send ALL of my guests here from my boyfriend owns. Its a sad dey. My daughter and I just came back from vacation at Hampton Beach. Made numerous visits to Mrs. Mitchell's during our stay at the Ashworth. Very convenient for us. The owner (I believe) was amazing. He greeted us each time we came in. The young girl there was great as well and made sure everything was wrapped well. Oh and the fudge...to die for! The store is beautiful, well organized and very clean. They have quality merchandise. This is definitely a must see store!
