Todd Shopping Center — Local services in Hampton

We chose Big Lots over another local popular store looking for baby food,which they do not carry, in fact we were surprisingly informed they dont carry any baby supplies except diapers and that's only rarely. While in there we did pick up some other items and shopped more ,but there were SOO MANY ITEMS WITHOUT PRICES OR EVEN SHELF TAGS ~ NOTHING! I myself have worked in retail management for years and know for a fact a business will lose sales when people can't find a price on something they are looking at. Needless to say we left a few items on the shelf because honestly we didn't have time to ask for price checks on everything and really , we shouldn't have to. We waited in line a good 15 min with 1 cashier, my friend purchased a ceramic item and the cashier didn't double bag, wrap it in new paper , anything to protect it and even put it in the bag with other items where it could have easily broken. Overall we were not impressed with this...

Office Depot: MAURICE was wonderful! He was very patient through many questions, phone calls to a relative and indeciveness. He went above and beyond expectation and his knowledge was superb. When you as the customer have just enough knowledge in certain areas but oblivious in others, its a breath of fresh air when the staff help to educate you and not look at you like you have 2 heads (although he may have wanted to, he kept a straight face...lol)! THANKS MAURICE for making my experience great. Linda at printing showed the same compassion and patience. Ensuring I had the best available deals. Very calm demeanor. Thanks Linda! I stop by the CHKD Thift store regularly. They have some great deals , IF you shop around. Sometimes the initial price assigned to the knick-knack might be high but most all the prices are good deals after the first mark-down. We bought a piece of special art for an investment. It was marked at $499.99 and on Tuesday I got it discounted. It came with an appraisal of $3,750 and a certificate of authenticity, which we verified by the art broker of the appraisal and COA. Everyone get a discount on Tuesdays. They also have Military, First Responder and Teacher-or-Student discounts as well on different days! So, shop accordingly!
