Utz Factory Outlet Store — Local services in Hanover

It's pretty much impossible for us to get on the factory tour as it's only offered Monday - Thursday: 9:30.a.m. - 4:00.p.m. And you don't come here just for the factory outlet store unless you live nearby or are passing by.

Yesterday (a Saturday) after a good hike at the nearby Codorus State Park, we decided to at least check this place out since we were literally passing by on our way back.

The place was very easy to locate. The exterior wasn't the least flattering, but the inside was put together nicely and I was very pleasantly surprised by the sheer varieties of snacks it carried. All I had known about Utz was potato chips. Now I learned that Utz is the largest privately owned snack brand in the US and carries over 90 flavors of snacks!!! And you can't find as many varieties of Utz snacks anywhere else under one roof besides here in Hanover!

There was an area near the entrance where you can sample 5-6 different snacks. Today they were showcasing Guacachips (excellent), Salsitas (good), Snow Balls, and some pretzel sticks which I didn't care much about.

Like other factory outlet stores, the prices seemed cheaper though not by much. That said, there were half a dozen kinds of snacks that were deeply discounted. For example, the Red Hot Potato Chips were on sale for $1.00 (reg. $2.79); No Salt Original Potato Chips for $1.50 (reg. $4.29); and the Original White Corn Tortillas for $1.00 (reg. 3.99). You guessed it right -- we grabbed a whole bunch of them and were now well stocked for...

I have known about this and the other outlet Stores since I was a child, yet I had never been in their stores. I finally walked in and was in munchies heaven. What struck me the most were the cute gifts you can get that are unique and fun. Huge custom tins to fill how you desire, cheeseball plush toys, hats, dog bandanas, and various items to satisfy the quest for the partnership between the Hanover area snacks and Baltimore beer & crab seasoning. But let's talk about why you would come here on your free time... TONS OF MUNCHIES!!! Of the 3 factory outlets this one had the most finished looking outlet store with fancy displays of locally and nationally made products owned by the parent company of UTZ. If you aren't interested in the fluff maybe the crazy savings would draw you in?! Regardless of your snacking experience search you will be able to find great values that sales in stores only wish they could offer. So plan on stocking up... in some cases you can buy a box of snacks cheaper than 2 bags in the local grocery store. So clean out your trunk and take a trip to Hanover to this snack haven!
