I must say it is sad to see the loss of so many businesses in the North Hanover Mall. The Mall's appearance/esthetics is unappealing with obvious needs of repair!
T-mobile is one of the few stores functioning at a consistent basis. There is a nail salon, a hair salon, Jerry and Sal's restaurant, GNC and a few stores newly trying to make it in a Mall with little foot traffic. There was a rumor a few years back to make the Mall a strip Mall rebuilt around the anchor stores. Then JcPenny left and a fire to the old vacant JcPennny caused the building to be demolished for various reasons due to water and strucual damage. Rural King is the only anchor store left other than Burlington. Hopefully a new design and restructure can bring this Mall back to life. But it remains to be seen if the owner cares about the possibilities and/or the potential of what a restructure would do on a financial level as well as community one!
On a positive note our family and friends still shop the few stores open. We love Jerry and Sal's. There is a new soup restaurant that just opened and the soup...

Got stopped by a security asking if dog is a service dog. No he is not we are just looking for a harness for the dog. He saw my gun and asked is that a weapon? I Said i have my cc license. He said well u have to leave. No gins allowed. I informed him there are no signs saying that. He said there are at the main entrance. I said well not at berlingtons doors. He said well thats them not us. I said well there are no signs as u enter the mall through that door. He said its a rule and i have to leave and walk around to go to rural king.. which is where i told him i was headed. So anyways i was told to leave even though there were no signs on the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis mall is dying a slow and painful death, I was in the area and I decided to explore this beautiful mall. JCPenney is currently in the process of being demolished, Jerry and Sals Pizza that was here closed down, saw a sign saying they were moving to a new location. The only stores that remain are Burlington, An Antique store that had some people shopping in, and an early 2000s genre type of store. The bathrooms looked like they havenāt been cleaned for some time (hence there being almost no one there). GameStop is completely gone. Burlington had some stuff but not a lot. I also have heard that this mall is going to be demolished within the next couple of months. GNC is on the brink of closing down soon. Very...
