The curious little playhouse is literally just that- A pretend play center for littles!
There is a little town full of different play shops to get your little excited at every turn. Many areas were sponsored by real LOCAL businesses!
In the center is seating for the parents and siblings, you can sit back and relax WATCH your kiddo explore their curious side in a GATED play area! There is also a slide for those under 85 lbs, a swing, mats, seesaws & seated scooters. The shops are diverse -mechanical shops to veterinary offices, hair salons & markets! This isn't just a spot for little girls, the boys were having just as much fun if not more!
Perfect for ages 1-5 in my opinion but older siblings can still have fun with their younger siblings as I was an adult in the shops.
I love that there is a yuck bucket for things to be cleaned and sanitized! This makes me feel good knowing that they are doing their best to keep a safe and inviting space.
This is a sensory friendly space for those who are concerned. There is light children's music in the background the lighting is not extremely bright. There are times where they have many kiddos in the town.
There is a toy store in the front- prepare your kiddos to avoid a meltdown by letting them know you came to play but Santa & the Easter Bunny & Tooth Fairy all know exactly where this place is! But honestly the toys are useful and educational or pretend play based which is great for development. They are all reasonably priced and some are even from local businesses & moms!
There are socks available for those Mom's like me in the summertime who forget socks! Also refreshments are available to purchase.
Pricing is fair for the fun & energy burnt out of you little one! They also have passes that are affordable monthly or yearly payment options.
The staff is friendly, inviting & truly makes you feel at home. The kids, parents, grandparents & great grandparents LOVED having an indoor play place today with a real...
Read moreThe five stars is for the place itself. However, we won't be back unless it's a birthday party. We were here for a birthday party a few weeks back and my 4 year old had a blast, we went today and not so much.
We REALLY do need a place for parents to safely take their children who are under the age of two. And this seems to be the spot. Had I known when I brought my 4 year old BOY that the place would be full of small toddlers I definitely would not have brought him here. I spent the entire time asking him to not be himself. The point of coming was to get the energy out but unfortunately with SO MANY littles I was unable to allow that.
I saw other parents side eying my child, removing their child when mine would walk into one of the rooms, or pointing to him while saying something to their spouse. My 4 year old BOY was amazing. He wasn't running around screaming or yelling, not making a mess, he was being super gentle and cautious of the littles so as you can tell I was getting annoyed by other parents.
Parents would crowd one of the rooms while their child was playing in it. It got to be so no other children could play in said room. A parent would block the entrance entirely or a family group (grandparents and parents) would crowd the room entirely so no one else could enter. (They weren't playing with the child - just crowding and talking amongst each other)
I was saddened for my little guy when he would walk into a room to play and a parent would immediately remove their child. I just wanted to walk out. Especially when he seemed confused by the action, as I believe he planned on playing with them.
So parents beware when bringing a child over two. They may not have anyone to play with and nasty parents may...
Read moreWe love this place! Last year we bought our daughter a membership for her Christmas present. We weren’t able to get there until February due to the kids bouncing sickness back to each other. Spread love, not germs ;) I was misunderstanding how to get the membership code to show on my phone and the woman helping me was being so nice and had great patience with me. She had to contact the owner of the store to look us up in the system. Right away she got back and confirmed the membership, but also caught my mistake on purchasing two memberships. I just had a baby at the time of purchase, so I’ll blame it on mom brain. She reimbursed me the second membership! AND since we hadn’t been able to get there till two months past the membership purchase, she extended the membership to February, giving us a full year of play. The other time I had interaction with the owner she was working check-in. This was the first time my baby was crawling around here, so I didn’t think of bringing him socks. She noticed, and in the nicest way possible, reminded me of the sock policy and gave me a pair for him to put on at no charge. She’s so kind!
As for the play area, it is the cutest thing. It’s like a little avenue of stores and houses that the children can play in. My daughter loves the babydoll nursery. There are pews in a line down the center for parents to sit on, which I thought was a great idea! A coffee bar in the back as well. The toys are in good condition. If there is a toy that has been “well loved” I notice by the next time we come it is gone. We have not had/attended a birthday party here, but their set up looks amazing.
I highly recommend taking your children here for...
