Citing the August 7, 2022 edition of the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review the Bushy Run Heritage Society was contacted by the Pennsylvania Historical & Museum Commission (PHMC) requesting the re-enactment of the annual battle be canceled due to a complaint from an undisclosed "out-of-state" individual who was upset as those portraying the native Americans were not of that heritage. Who cares? This is obviously some left-wing whiner who diligently searches for something, ANYTHING, to be offended by and be disruptive. These, all, re-enactors provide an invaluable living history lesson from the French & Indian War, American Revolutionary era events to the conflicts of the Civil War and beyond.
