Farmer's Daughter Hatteras — Local services in Hatteras Island

We usually go here on our vacation every year and never have a problem. We usually have a great shopping experience. When we went this year Aug./2nd/2020 when we walked into the store nobody said welcome or anything. We were the only shoppers in the store at this time. We walked around the store for a little while shopping and there were 2 people there working. They never said a word to us. When we were done shopping I went to the counter and checked out. I come to this store every time I visit hatteras and it’s always been a pleasant experience. However, today I brought along my mother and grandmother for their first time and as we were leaving the young man at the register asked my mother “do you have any cash I can have? I haven’t had many sales today.” I was shocked. So uncomfortable, unprofessional and weird. I hope/assume this is a one off thing and by posting this review this can be addressed and corrected.
