Seaworthy Gallery — Attraction in Hatteras Island

Don’t normally complain publicly about a business but this one needs to be shared. If you are going to The Outer Banks, do yourself a favor and skip this shop, A Seaworthy Gallery. 2 years in a row we walked in and were greeted with a scoff, as if the owner/worker was judging us on our looks. Well because of that last year I didn’t purchase anything but this year I got a beautiful hand crafted ceramic candle container and candle that smelled like the beach. Mind you this candle wasn’t cheap, but was something I wanted. The person behind the counter never even said thank you, have a nice day, nothing. She just collected my money and walked away. I am deeply troubled by this and felt the need to share our experience because as you can see by the comments on their reviews we aren’t the only ones. Came to seaworth gallery with my girlfriend and two other girls we were immediately greeted with stares from the one person working behind the counter all the girls bought something off the the floor I wanted to get 3 different jewelry items from the case the worker assuming owner never once acknowledged me at the showcase even after minutes and sternly telling some one to get off of their phone in the corner after 10 minutes of her staring at me and not even saying a word to me I will go elsewhere to buy rings and necklaces as a business owner I will not support this business after this interaction and being assumed I wasn’t a customer simply due to...

I have loved this Gallery and shopped there for years, however they do not do a good job of informing you when they are closed. I am in Nags Head for the week, and tried to go there yesterday. Being the holidays, I went on line and saw that they were open. To be overly sure I called. No one answered, but the message gave their "current" hours and that said they were open.
