I worked with the most wonderfully kind, thoughtful and patient young man named Michael. He spent over and hour on the phone with me going through the catering menu/picking out food to serve at my mom’s Celebration of Life party after her funeral.
Not only was Michael incredibly knowledgeable about Seasoned with Love’s most popular food items, specific ingredients, how much each serving size would feed etc, but because I was also having other food catered in to accompany some of THEIR amazing dishes, he also helped me figure out exactly how much food I would need based on everything from the amount of people coming as well as the particular type of “partygoers” expected to helping me decide which dishes of theirs would best compliment all of the other food being served.
And Michael’s primary concern the entire time we spoke was ensuring that I didn’t end up with a ton of food leftover. With earnest consideration, he was mindful of my budget restrictions and had enormous respect for the fact that I was operating out of an Estate Account and as such, needed to be more conservative with cost than if I were just planning/paying for everything myself.
And throughout the entire encounter, Michael extended such grace, sensitivity, compassion and consideration for the enormous amount of grief and loss my family was experiencing immediately offering his sincere condolences when he learned the nature of my needs.
And finalizing my order the day before the funeral with Will, the owner and Chef of Seasoned with Love, was an equally kind and genuinely benevolent endeavor.
BOTH of these young men treated me as if they were planning food for their own loved ones funeral and it meant more to me that they know. After 8 weeks of heartbreakingly watching our mother decline into the nightmarish dissent of late stage Alzheimer’s and subsequently pass from terminal cancer, interacting with the staff at Seasoned with Love offered such solace and comfort.
The business of planning a loved one’s funeral is difficult but dealing with people like the staff at Seasoned with Love made ALL the difference in the world.
And all this wonderful service was on TOP of their food being the BEST food you will ever eat… hands down.
So THANK YOU. From the family of...
