Simply put store # 5204 is amazing! I recently visited the Hilo store back in January 2023. I own a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee 4X4. The engine coolant light indicated I had a problem.I drove down to the Hilo store to get advice on how to solve the problem. I met with the store manager Brian who was working the counter. I explained my issue. He suggested that he should take a look at my Jeep and proceeded to accompany me to the parking lot. Brian diagnosed the problem as being a bad thermostat. Brian recommended a specific replacement part. Brian had me in and out of the store withe the right part like a Indy Pit Crew. Having visited the store in the past and having Brian and his staff assist me with other auto problems I knew I was in the right hands and rely on his expertise. I travel to and from my home in Hawaii and California. I have shopped at Auto Zones from coast to coast. The level of service at the Hilo store is the consistently the best I have ever experienced. The staff under Brian's management always make my visits a joy, no hassle, knowledgable, and professional. I feel Brian should be commended for his management style and professionalism. My neighborhood store in California could learn a lot from store #5204 in Hilo,...
Read moreHad bought a new alternator and they told me to bring the old one in and get 12 bucks back. I ask them if i needed to keep the reciepts they said no, im in their system okay they was nice. Week after turning my old alternator in, a gentlemen name Ben already looks over it helping me out. I know i being judgemental but as soon as i reached the counter already gave me an attitude irritating sound of his voice cause i dont have the receipt. Basically telling me out loud " now making my job harder i have to go look for it". 1 its your fricken job, there is no such thing a job can do for you if you dont do it. But luckily a girl was there to help and save me from waiting any longer. I already have a long day, yes jobs can get to you, but dont make it affect your customer cause i might go to oreilys instead. I dont really care how much my part cost, im just...
Read moreYesterday, I was at the Kona store and purchased a $223 battery for my RV. Of course without seeing the RV, they said the problem may be the starter, the key contact, the alternator, etc.. They recommended replacing the battery, then bring the battery in for a free check. I told them I was going to Hilo. They very nicely said no problem. I was at the Hilo store where one attendant was busy and two younger were not. This was around 530pm to 5:45pm. The response was quite alarming. First, " We don't do that" to which I replied you advertise this is your window. He then said, "The machine is broken." He said he would look around. He didn't speak with either of the ladies working. He returned restating, "We don't have a machine." I was so outraged after driving from South Point that this needed to be...
