I've been to this place three times now, and while the food has always been delicious—which I truly appreciate—the service experience has been consistently disappointing. I really hope this feedback is taken as constructive, because I want to see this spot succeed and improve.
On my first visit, I ordered a sandwich while dining in with friends. After about 15 minutes, it still hadn’t arrived, so I checked in with the staff and was told it had been forgotten. I waited another 10 minutes for it, and by the time it came, I had to take it to go. When I got to my car and opened it, I realized the tomatoes were missing. I called and was told they had run out of tomatoes and that they “don’t charge for them anyway.” I understand things run out, but it would’ve been more helpful if I had been told that up front—so I could’ve chosen something else or adjusted my order accordingly.
Despite that, I decided to give it another shot. On a later visit, the atmosphere again felt a bit unwelcoming. I placed an order online for pick up. When I arrived to pick it up, I checked my takeout order before leaving and noticed it didn’t have the extra egg I paid for. When I asked about it, I was told they no longer offer eggs. I’m glad I checked, but it felt disappointing to only find out after the fact—and the interaction felt a bit dismissive, which made it more frustrating.
I’m sharing this not to criticize harshly, but because I really like the food and I want to keep coming back. A little more attention to service and communication would make a big difference. I hope this helps and that things improve, because the potential is...
Read moreCoffee Girl is one of the cutest coffee shops I have ever been to! The attention to detail is obvious (down to the heart shaped straws), and the decor is instagram worthy. They even have a cute little wooden coffee maker toy set for the little ones.
The drink menu offered several unique items, ranging from coconut to cinnamon and beyond.
The service was quick and friendly.
As far as food goes, the options are a little more limited, in the sense that Coffee Girl offers more grab and go options, like muffins and small pastries, rather than a more substantial breakfast sandwich or breakfast burrito. Just FYI if you’re looking for something more hearty. There were some awesome sounding avocado toast choices, though we didn’t order any this time.
I ordered the honey cinnamon latte, which was delicious! My daughter got the lemonade, which was tasty but quite sweet.
Overall, this is a solid choice for a...
Read moreThis quaint shop makes stellar coffee, matcha lattes and a small variety of baked goods amongst other fun coffee drinks on their menu. Personally, my flat white was well-made, and I got a fruity pebbles matcha drink to go that was phenomenal. We did ask the baristas to remake my boyfriend’s cappuccino because it was scalding hot and they were happy to do so for us. It came out good the second time. There was a strange moment when they called out his order as ready for pick up where it felt like they were laughing at the latte non-art (squiggles) in his cappuccino foam, and it was a bit disappointing that a shop that is so oriented around aesthetics would serve something sub-par and laugh in front of customers about it, but perhaps it was a coincidence. Overall the service and coffee/beverages...
