I was really excited to come to this place because I love bringing back local products whenever I come here for work. The selection seemed nice, but when I tried to ask questions, the cashier seemed super dismissive. I had honestly hoped to find out a bit more about the company and get some suggestions, but it seemed like I was bothering him even though the shop wasn’t busy. So that put a real damper on my enthusiasm. I ended up just quickly buying the one item I had already picked out because it was a gift for someone, but I didn’t really feel welcome after that interaction. After reading the positive posts, I was excited to get some of the macs. Unfortunately, the 3 days that I came by, the store was closed. On the last day, I got there at 10am, the time of stated/posted open hours. The door was locked, but there was a guy in there fussing with the Christmas decorations. I knocked several times, he saw me and continued on with what he was doing. I waited for 10 minutes and then left. Guess the decorations were more important than making some money....

HANDS DOWN THE BEST! I'm on my fifth package of 20 oz sea salt mac nuts purchased at Costco and every nut is absolutely perfect. They are far superior than the Mauna Loa brand which always contains several stale or rancid pieces. It seems that since they rebranded from "Hamakua" to Hawaiian Macadamia Nut Company, the quality has greatly increased. I hope they keep up the good work and don't do like Mauna Loa who decreased the package size to 7 oz and still charge...
