The guys on the boat and the parasailing were AWESOME!!!👏 but the lady at the front desk with the blonde/reddish hair with glasses ….WOW!!! I have NEVER been treated so rude as a customer. We were 15 minutes late ( totally our fault) ,and I felt bad for this but asked the lady if we had time to use the restroom and she rolled her eyes and said yes if you run. She handed us the card to scan to get into the restroom and did not tell us what to do with the card and I didn’t think to ask so I just gave it to one of the guys on the boat that worked for the company. He said no problem. anyway, after the parasailing, we go back into the office because I wanted to inquire about the local discounts and I asked her what they were. And how to get them. She said, real snarky, well you have to be on time first of all. Kidding!, Not really. Then she said do you have the key card? I said no I am sorry but I gave it to the man on the boat. She rolled her eyes and said in a very mean voice oh my gosh, that is not what I told you to do with it. I can’t even explain to you how rude she was because words don’t explain it, but it made me very upset. So I walked back in there and nicely told her. Hey, you said we were late, but we were actually the first ones at the boat. She said real snarky again, yeah that is because everyone was waiting on you. What a shame because the guys on the boat are so awesome and this is the second time that I have been parasailing with this company, but I am not sure if I will ever go again...
Read moreOur first time parasailing and UFO Parasail didn't disappoint. When searching and booking (last minute), I was reassured by their awesome online reputation and I'm happy to add another 5-star review to the list. Captain Ty and Doc were professional but fun and had us all laughing with some of their antics (like a big pair of fake plastic scissors that Doc got out and pretended to cut the line while we were up there, LOL). Thankfully they really seemed to know their stuff and we felt safe with them. We paid $29 extra for the digital photo package and were texted a link with a bunch of pictures ready for me to download - the same day!
For anyone who hasn't done this yet, it's not exactly what I expected. Very exhilarating as you lift off and gain altitude, thrilling to say the least when you reach the highest point and look down, but also unbelievably peaceful! Up there it's calm and quiet; I would not have expected that. It's not a thrill ride the whole time; you're just floating up there for a while. We (hubby and me) chose the 1800' option for 8-10 minutes, and it was worth a few extra dollars. Then they bring you down, dip your feet in the water, take you back up a little bit, then reel you in. You end up standing on the bow of the boat so you "land" on your feet. The whole...
Read moreThis was our first parasail experience and it was GREAT! Found the business office in Kona easily enough even though it was set back from the street and nestled among some shops. We arrived on the pier on time and were met by the tow boat. Myself and my wife went together and a group of three people from Chicago went too. We brought our own cameras in waterproof camera bags with lanyards, so we didn't opt for the photo package. We went up first and were briefed and harnessed as the boat moved out into open water. We were hooked up and lifted off from the boat deck and sailed to the standard 600' height. When offered to upgrade to 800' (via hand signals) we gave the signal and were raised higher and stayed aloft longer. The ride was smooth as silk, quiet and not as windy as we'd expected. It was great and we were towed past our ship (Pride of America) and took some great photos and videos. Watching the other group go up was almost as fun as doing it ourselves. We had a ball! We bought souvenir t-shirts from a cooler right on the boat and charged them to our credit card wirelessly. Very convenient. If you've never tried this before, you should do it at least once. Highly...
