One of the green turtle beach. This one we indeed saw turtle lie on the sand. A quite area to go. Maybe because we went at early, it doesn't have too many people. Good place to have a rest. I also found the Noni fruit tree here. People think it as the longevity healthy fruit because it help to reduce heart and blood vessel disease. Took one matured fall the ground, like the smelly cheese. I love cheese overall but this one still not supper acceptable to me. The native Hawaii people will even fermentation them to take advance feom their enzyme. But I doubt whether they are useful? Enzyme suffering the acid from stomach and basic bile from bladder, are they still active? And Hawaii people think fat is beautiful so they eat a lot of meat with supper high fat contain. That is why they supper rely on this fruit. For us, I would believe it just a healthy fruit, rather than deification.

This pier was miserable! They got us tendered off the Pride of America just fine to return at 3:00 at the height of wanting to return to the ship. The line was long, the day was Sunny and hot with very little shade. Security was fine and efficient, but Norwegian should have put canopies over the metal frames that exist and wound the line under the shade of these canopies. I think it was a completely unexcusable situation for a cruise ship that anchors in Kailua Bay every week with a large older customer base. Someone is going to suffer from heat stroke one day (if it hasn't already happened). It was that miserable standing in the direct blistering heat for an hour and a half after being exhausted from our 6 hour excursion. That said, the Pier sits in a beautiful port with lots to see and do. We went swimming 17 miles away but one couple we spoke to came ashore just to find the local book store. They were not disappointed with their day exploring to find their book store.

Spent the day exploring this small town of Kailua Kona Hawaii and learning about it's history, some of the best coffees in the world is produced here. Hulihee Palace a former royal vacation home and a world heritage site and museum, the Mokuaikaua church the oldest in hawaii is located here, on Kailua bay/pier seems to be quite bustling with seabathers on a hot day and moorings for small boats. Nice area with cafe's, shops and restaurants with a complimentary bus shuttle to take you around town on a narrated ride. Lovely day was had in this picturesque town full of history with beautiful sunsets.

It was really cool seeing all the fishermen and women lined up along the pier. They were catching quite a few fish. Within about a 1 mile radius there are many shops and restaurants. There are also a lot of people. Hawaii is very strict on usage of masks so that's a good thing with that many people. You couldn't really see the sunset from the pier as it was hidden behind trees but the view is still beautiful. I would recommend going there and enjoying the scenery.
