Pre-ordered 3 things and was told they were at the customer service desk up front. Not one of them was. Had to wait nearly 30 minutes for them to track them down and bring them up front for me. One large appliance that had a paper WITH MY NAME ON IT (why wasn't it up front then if it had my name on it?????) and 2 very small items. This wasn't the first time this has happened either. Got lucky this time though, because last time I pre-ordered something I had to wait about an hour. Never ever pre-order things here. Ever.
EDIT: I'm now back at Home Depot and the customer service lady doesn't know how to process a return/refund. So she is talking story with her co-workers and showing them stuff on her phone while waiting for someone to help her. One employee is with another customer but there's another employee who isn't that is completely ignoring the situation. ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. AVOID. Oh and now the only person that can help me rushed to help another customer that showed up AFTER me, leaving me waiting!
EDIT 2: So recently I had placed another online order because according to their website they had the items (10 tubes of caulk in a specific color to match the rest of the caulk we had already laid down) in stock, 28 of them before I placed my order to be exact. I had been in the store earlier and hadn't seen any on the shelf, so I notified someone at home of that fact, they placed the order in my name and notified me. I stopped by for a second time about 2 hours after the order had been placed. No items up front waiting for me. At this point I had food thawing in my vehicle and couldn't wait an hour or more for them to lollygag around and eventually find it. I went home, called the store shortly thereafter (about 45 minutes after my visit) and was told to call back in an hour. Called back 1 hour later, spoke to the exact same person and asked if it was up front. She said "It should be, yes." So I asked her, "So you're saying it's ready and up front then?" She replied with "Yes." I went to pick it up, ended up waiting about 15 minutes and was told they didn't have it in stock AT ALL and that the website was in error! I ended up just getting a refund.
AVOID PLACING ONLINE ORDERS HERE. In fact I'd avoid this place ENTIRELY, but if you have to go here, DO NOT PLACE ONLINE ORDERS. They will tell you your item(s) is/are ready and waiting for you up front, then when you get there OOPS! No item(s) are ready and YOU'LL HAVE TO WAIT 10 TIMES LONGER THAN IT WOULD HAVE TAKEN FOR YOU TO FIND THE ITEM(S) YOURSELF, THUS NEGATING ANY BENEFIT FROM ORDERING ONLINE.
This is the third and final strike for Home Depot Kona in my book. I'll be going to Lowes, Ace and HPM from now on. You're NOT the only hardware store on the...

Hats off to DAVID FERNANDEZ in Kitchen Design (and a shout out to Jada too) David needs a raise and promotion! In all of our years of experience we have never dealt with someone so professional. The phrase "no job too big or too small" applies. David spearheaded and personally guided with expert professionalism through our entire project. David went above and beyond, and beyond, and beyond to help us with our project. David whipped up a batch of the most professional group of talented, diligent, fair, honest, efficient (all the great words in the dictionary) men I have ever met in the business. Kudos to the staff that delivered our products and brought them up 3 flights of stairs too!
STEVE OLIVER the General Contractor was absolutely unbelievable. Steve assisted me in getting everything done on time and perfect. He then directed me to CHRIS DUGGAN with "All About Power." Chris led a 3 man team that was was KNOCK OUT amazing. They worked non-stop and did an incredible job. They never stopped working. I can't say enough good things. PAT CHRISTIAN the Plumber came after hours after a long day to assist us immediately with a plumbing problem. He was pleasant, efficient and to the point.
This "Dream Team" worked hand in hand with us and made our house safe and beautiful. The pricing all around was fair and honest. We couldn't have done this without this team. Again in ALL of our years of remodeling we have never been so ... speechless. I can't say enough words to describe this wonderful experience in an otherwise unpleasant situation. I would recommend them to everyone for a job big or small. You will not be disappointed and I wholeheartedly guarantee that.
Then did I mention all of the workers in every department in Home Depot that assisted with the most concern to every need, right down to the right screw, fitting and plumbing, lighting, etc? These people are professionals. They come from all walks of lives. Optometrist, Real Estate, Retired, etc. They shared with us short stories while assisting us. FRIENDLY, EFFICIENT... what an extreme pleasure to work with your "Home Depot Family." Their work ethic is commendable. Home Depot seems like a wonderful place to work.

Read moreIf I could list a zero star review, I would. My experience yesterday started when I waited at the flooring department for 20 minutes waiting for assistance. There was no one in sight and when I asked the workers walking by if they could assist, they responded with "sorry not my department but I'm sure someone will be back soon to help you". With no success, I decided to load up the flooring myself. Halfway through, a flooring specialist stopped by to see if I had any questions. Since the example board that was advertised was all one gray color, I asked why the colors of the pallets were so drastically different and if they were meant to be that way. He explained that they were in fact returns. Unwanted cases that the manufacturer made in error, producing some boxes of a dark gray and some almost white color. He recommended that I sort through all of the boxes to color match to the best of my ability. Since most of the boxes were already opened, ripped apart, damaged and not true to what was advertised, I asked the gentleman if there would be a way to discount it and he responded with "oh absolutely, I don't see why not since you're getting left overs that were returns. Just go see my manager in the front and he can help." Once I explained the situation to the cashier, she scoffed and said "that's how". Between the manager and the cashier, they offered no further assistance with a bad attitude and insisted that the product was meant to be exactly as it was, damaged...
