The service we got at Turtle Bay was off the charts. My husband and I called an Ubber on a Saturday evening for the airport. We were unable to get a ride. We then tried Lyft and a taxis, with no luck. I spoke to a wonderful kind woman at the desk , Tomasina Aalonno. She explained that Turtle Bay is rather remote dispite it's expansive size. She offered us a lift to the next town when her shift was over in 15 minutes. (We did not offer her money nor was this our idea.) If we were unable to get a ride from there she would drive us all the way to the airport!! Her kindness and generosity calmed my husband and I, we felt so relieved, the stress magically melted away. When Tomasina drove up in front of the hotel to pick us up, our Ubber arrived and we didn't need her lift. Thank you Tomasina Aalono...

First off...we didn't see any turtles, Haha, but this is a quiet little beach that we had all too ourselves. My kids loved the tide pools and lava rock wall that housed all kinds of crabs and creepy crawly things. If you wander on down the beach there is a random rope swing.

Oooooooh, to get to it, just head toward the turtle bay resort then follow the signs for the stables. Park at the stables and follow the sound of the waves through the trees to the ocean. P.s. there is no restroom or handy shower to wash off with, so plan on going home dirty.
