Absolute WORST customer service I have ever encountered. I ordered a red dot scope that I found here for a lower price than I had seen anywhere else. Selected expedited shipping so I’d get it before I left again for work, got an email fairly soon after placing the order that my order was going out. Upon reading the email, I noticed they were shipping my item USPS. While I realize this company only ships USPS or FedEx, I figured for an expedited order to a home address that it would go FedEx. I was apparently wrong and when I called to speak to someone about it, I was greeted by “Jeff” who had a terrible attitude from the get go (that only got worse, more argumentative, and included talking over me because of course he knows more than me so he needed to be louder and get his point across) and through the entire phone call treated me like I was the dumbest person alive. I was told it was my fault for listing my address the way I did (even though it was correct and going to the right place...that wasn’t the issue...carrier was the problem) and that there was nothing they could do. I asked if I could just cancel the order then as USPS has a history of misplacing orders sent to my physical address since we live in a small town and use a PO Box for all our general mail...”well no. We can’t cancel an order that’s already been shipped that’s not how that works”. Again, it was great to be spoken to like I’m an idiot, really. I know how that works but I am also fairly confident that my order was sitting there with a shipping label on it and since this company apparently doesn’t believe in any form of decent customer service, they just couldn’t be bothered to go through the trouble of changing my carrier. “Well, usps validated your physical address sooo...” I was literally told by Jeff “well if you’re lying to me about where you can and can’t receive mail I’m going to be honest, I really don’t care”. First and last time I’ll ever do business here and I’ll certainly pass along my bad experience to anyone and everyone I know that might consider this company. There is NEVER an excuse to speak to someone that way or to be that much of a jerk (as I can’t use a more appropriate word here). I ordered a few items one being a universal brass catcher. The description said it fits most ar style riffles. From experience sites like this can never answer if it will fit a specific receiver. So I figured I'll buy it and return if it dosent fit. Boy was I wrong.
I emailed them to start the return process. I was emailed a copied return policy stating. I can either get store credit, or return it minus a 15% restocking fee. I wrote them back explaining the I shouldn't have to pay $10 in shipping twice, plus loose 15% restocking fee on a $35 item that was stated should fit. There is no point to return it if that's the case.
They replied asking how or why it didn't fit and I explained to the then what receiver handgaurd combo I had and why it didn't work. They responded with "oh yeah that is a thicker receiver then most and wouldn't work with this product". Which tells me they could take 5 mins and post in the items description what it dosent work with to help avoid this problem. I was then asked if it could be modified to fit. I said no. That was the last I heard from them until I emailed back asking about returns again. I got a very cold response "as stated on 10/8 (copied return policy)"
So overall customer service terrible, return policy is stupid. I under stand charging a few for an item that was ordered in the wrong color, or changed mind on the item, or a specialty item, but not on a cheap accessory that I was...
Read moreI've purchased many Spike Tactical stripped lowers, pistol grips and stocks from them before in the past. I originally found them online as one of the few places selling Spikes lowers fully stripped and bare....then ACTUALLY having them in stock! I don't want a "combo" or your "mystery" parts, thank you (other places). They had a good price on them with free shipping too I believe (been several years ago). They shipped fast and right to my FFL. When I need more I know where to order again from. Their company name and location made me a customer. I was made one by being curious and having some intuition. I'm generally not a fan a "suits" and "office boys" (playing) guns and knives. They talk down to you like you are a newbie while when the truth really comes out you discover you have over 40 years IRL experience and they have maybe 4 if they are lucky....IF you are lucky. Generally not a fan...just don't ask! Ok?! Lol Joe Bob Outfitter's sounded more like someone and the type of place I wanted to give my money to just from their business name and also being located in Kansas. I wasn't wrong and it proved to be correct. As long as the customers are good and upstanding you won't have any problems. I see some that likely didn't know ordering a stripped lower is still classified as a firearm/other and requires a FFL. That has always been the serialized and Federally regulated part. Not their fault they can't just ship it out to you and to your home address. Perhaps do some research and know what the gun laws are before pointing fingers leaving...
