When I first discovered this store I was recommending it to friends as it seemed like a good alternative to the traditional chains. Associates were friendly and helpful. All that changed the minute I tried renting some tools there. The process was painfully clunky and slow with the guys needing two computers, a printer and a bunch of paperwork to rent out one tool.
What's worse is of the two tools they rented, one gave out as soon as I brought it home. When I brought it back, the tech agreed that it was not working and issued a refund. A few days later, I got a call from Mario, the "manager" who immediately accused me of having broken the tool and having used it so extensively I clogged it up or used up the oil . When I pointed out that the battery was still completely full, that seemed to be lost on him. When I told him they had already looked at it when I brought it back, he said he was the only one in the store qualified to inspect it. The whole process was extremely amateurish, which I thought was slightly annoying. But Mario's total lack of professionalism and rudeness was shocking. At one point, he tried to bully me by saying that he was now going to issue me a bill for the repairs. I pointed out that in any case, I had paid for a damage waiver. He didn't know what that even was. Just the worst broish attitude and zero customer service. If they can employ a guy like that as a manager, my initial take on this place was very mistaken. 1)Initial order was received damage in their warehouse and staff did not communicate the problem or reorder the replacement.
3)Damaged item that was reordered and delivered was the wrong item. Again I was informed the delivery will be at no cost and will not be charged for their incompetence.
