Moved into a brand new, new construction house and didnāt like the low height Sterling/Kohler toilets the builder put in the house. Used the toilets for about a month before I replaced them for some taller toilets. I thoroughly cleaned them to make them look brand new, put them in the new boxes, and they had all of the parts with them. I thought the Re-Store would be glad to take them.
After waiting at the dock for them to pick through someone elseās scrap wood (that a renewable resource and will sit on their shelves for years and that they will makes pennies from their sale, the two goons at the donations dock literally started a fight with me because they donāt accept used toilets. They were extremely defensive when it was my turn. They asked if the toilets were used and I was not going to lie that they had been gently used. They were used for a month and literally look brand new and they are high-end designer brand fixtures. I was not able to use them simply because they are too low. The guys didnāt even want to look inside the box, but rather started aggressively arguing with me and telling me to leave while shouting at me to āhave a nice day.ā
Absolutely disgusted by how I was treated and the disregard for environmental and humanitarian stewardship in our community. Habitat for Humanity must not be hard up for donations or money because they donāt even want good quality donations. Not to mention their recent purchase of 200 acres with plans to build 1,000 homes on. Not sure how they are going to do it if they treat donations like this. Shame on...

They have so many different offerings for the do-it-yourselfer...and for a fraction of the cost you will pay at even a big-box store. Cabinets furniture, tools, tiles, flooring, lighting, electrical components, appliances, doors, windows, screens, and nearly anything else you can think of for building and home-improvement projects...you just have to look through and see if something works for what you're doing!
We got 21 drawer pulls, the heavy duty silver-tone ones that retail for about $3 per pull at other places...we paid $12 for all of them at the ReStore! And 30 hexagonal vinyl tiles for $9 (they retail for just under $30)!
It doesn't hurt that you support a pretty great charity by patronizing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWould be a great store except that they keep worthless store hours. Most people around Helena work on Saturday. I guess they only want to serve retired people. I can never get there unless I take time off. They are closed 3 days of the week and don't open until 10 and are closed already by 5. Why not open at noon and be open until 7 so people with jobs can stop by? Stores like that should be open on Sunday as that is the day most people do projects. I guess they would rather I get that board or can of...
