Harbor Freight — Local services in Hendersonville

You have to be careful of their so called RETURN POLICY. I purchased a 2" pump and hose and made the mistake of opening the box only to realize it was to big for what my needs were,(never left the box) so now store will not let me return it because box had been opened and resealed. Showed me on receipt where it says to call # for return authorization #. called # and told me to go to website and on website it had a LONG LIST of items that are NOT returnable and my pump was listed. NOTHING IN THE STORE TELLS YOU THIS BEFORE YOU SPEND YOUR MONEY OR ON RECEIPT AFTER YOU BUY IT OR ON BOX BEFORE YOU OPEN IT. So after you spend 330.00 on pump and hoses and open box you can not in any way get money back. Also when I purchased it the clerk tried to sale an extended warranty and you can't bring it back to get replacement if it breaks. Shady way to do business. It's a shame, I was glad to see one open near me. Hope they go broke at this Hendersonville location. Please be careful and read SMALL PRINT before leaving the store.

Crooked...

Went to this store this morning to purchase two (2) workbenches for a total of around $800.00. As I watched 2 workbenches being loaded up for the customer before me, I was told it would be a “wait” before I could purchase these. Then I was told to come back at 3:30 this afternoon because they are short-staffed, the manager was leaving in ten minutes and they couldn’t pull them out of the back. But my way to get these home was with me then, and would not be available later in the day. I get the short-staffed thing, but on a Saturday having your full staffing start at 3:30 and leaving the day understaffed so people leave and go shop at Amazon or Home Depot is really poor planning and poor customer service. Don’t lose the sales (maybe especially not an $800.00 sale) and pay your staff more. So I will have to purchase elsewhere, and won’t consider this store in the future...

I would have given 10 stars if I could but I had to take back a welder that I didn't even use. All I had done was crack open the plastic tape just to look at it. "Make sure all the parts were there". They wanted to charge me a $20 re-stock fee. $24 after taxes. I would understand if I had used it or even if I had taken it all the way out. I had to show out to finally get them to give me all my money back. The actual manager was okay. Once he got involved. It was taken care of. I still love this store for it's prices but they need to get some things straight. I spoke with the cashier for over 30 min before I bought the welder just to avoid that kind of a situation. He explained all kinds of stuff to me but never once said anything about a $20...
