I don't necessarily dislike the Blue Ridge Mall, in fact some of my fondest memories from my childhood were made there. In the 90's, this place was always buzzing with activity and was The place to hang out and go shopping. Nowadays however, this mall is a depressing, empty shell of it's former self. Frankly I'm downright shocked and amazed that it's still open for business and that it somehow manages to retain the businesses that it does. If the management and/or owner(s) would do a revamp and remodel, bring in some more modern and trendy businesses perhaps, it would most definitely improve the amount of daily customers and profits that it sees. Unfortunately I just don't foresee that ever happening and it's only a matter of time until this old relic from the 80's and 90's is sold to other interests and finally torn down. If you're 65 years or older and looking for a great indoor place to power walk, this is the location for you. If you're anyone actually interested in shopping around and spending money, don't waste your time with this antique. You'll be better off just making the drive to Asheville instead. Read moreI have visited the area several times but never went in to the mall. It isn’t very appealing from the outside. Last week I had to go to the post office and I had a very pleasant surprise! I love all the huge beautiful photographs decorating the walls of the mall. From the looks outside, you might think it would be a little run down inside , but no. It is very clean and has a freshness about it. I took a walk browsing all the stores and it was very enjoyable. Yes, they really need to update the outside so that more people will want to come in, they need more stores and a small food court of some sort. Maybe just small stands along the length of the mall. I have decided that I will reduce my shopping at Amazon and head over to the mall while I also do some walking. I really hope, they do something to attract more people. It really is a sweet little mall. Let’s give them a hand by shopping there...
Read moreI am now 41. This mall was really cool when I was 16. I mean, considering the limited places to go in Hendersonville NC. But they have taken nearly ever store out of the mall, and the owners of the mall want to charge premium prices for a dying mall. So, business owners are not interested in this mall. One place to eat, seriously limited shopping selection, and plenty of seniors walking around. TJMAxx, and some sporting store are the only new business's there. Everything else is very antiquated. And since the shopping selections are very limited, stores in the mall dont really compete for your money, so prices here are MUCH higher here than...
