Tequilas Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Hendersonville

Waiter kept making really bad jokes that left everyone confused. Like handing someone a sprite while saying "Here's your water" and stuff like that. It just made everyone confused, and his tenuous grasp on English didn't really help.

My fiancé's food wasn't very good, and we've had better in nearly every Mexican restaurant we've been to.

The waiter also skipped my grandmother when taking drink orders and then just left. He also ignored her when he came to give everyone else drinks, and we had to flag down the manager as he walked past.

Halfway through my meal the waiter came along and refilled my sprite. Which would have been fine, but he filled it with water.

Definitely won't be coming back, there really aren't any redeeming qualities and the waiter just kept confusing everyone. Maybe it's because I'm not used it, but personally I just want my food/drinks without any bad attempts at humor, especially when the humor is entirely based on saying things that aren't true, and double especially when the non-truths appear to be true at first glance. It just felt more like he was laughing at our confusion than anything else.

I went for lunch, sat at the bar. Was greeted and told him I wanted a 16oz Michelob ultra, he seemed confused and asked again. No worries so I spoke slower, i know I sometimes speak fast. He then asked if I needed a menu, I said “no thanks I know exactly what I want.” And he said “okay” and walked away?? And sat with his co workers at a table. I was very confused! So he walked by and I said “could I have a menu?” Thinking maybe I spoke too fast earlier. He brought it. I ordered the nacho burrito. He never brought me chips and salsa and I wanted a small thing of queso. He brings my food and it is literally just a burrito with ground beef. I ask “does it not come with rice?” And he said “no rice” which is weird because I was there last week and got rice and lettuce. So I ordered the rice and was charged for a side of rice. THEN asked “can I get chips and queso” he brought me chips and salsa 🤦🏼‍♀️ so I gave up on that. He didn’t come to bring me my check even after taking my plate. So I laid my money out to let him know I’m ready. He comes, I ask for one more drink and then to pay me out. He just pays me out…… so needless to say the WORST service I’ve ever had!! The food was good, atmosphere always great. But that was terrible service!! ...

I never post reviews. Absolute worst service I’ve ever had at any restaurant ever. Not to mention we go there quite often. Ordered a Long Island iced tea and a margarita for two people. The Long Island iced tea is supposed To have four separate shots of alcohol it tasted like lemon juice. I do not drink unless we go out and when I left I did not feel a thing Even after finishing half of that margarita as well. When I order a single can of beer at a restaurant I feel more from that then I did with that Long Island iced tea Plus half a margarita which tasted like straight coconut juice and pineapple juice. Do not waste your money on their drinks. I let the server know he did not care at all. His response was “OK”. Every other place I’ve heard people complain about their drinks offer to remake it. Not to mention now we are both sick an hour later. Be aware their chicken may be undercooked as well. Had to get our own napkins. Drinks went empty. Had to ask where the to go boxes were because I could not find them. Frustrating when everybody was on their phones never asked how the food was or if we needed anything.
