Had a pretty horrible experience here. My girlfriend and I were shopping when security approached us telling us we had been trespassed and we needed to leave the store immediately…. We were so immensely confused and told them they had the wrong person and to check again so the manager on duty left to do that.
I think they pretty quickly realized we were right but they continued to stand there and not answer any of our questions. The security lady who is pictured ended up YELLING in the middle of the store at us and everyone was staring as we were just trying to figure out how this could happen. We were telling them how harmful this can be and the woman pictured was laughing at us and then claiming she wasn’t.
They kept telling us we weren’t being detained but we wanted to ensure this never happens again as we shop there often. The man pictured ended up just walking away at one point and never coming back, never apologizing or clearing things up. The woman pictured stayed to glare and laugh at us a little bit longer and she ended up just walking away as well.
We ended up having to go to the cashiers to ask for the manager because we were left with NO questions answered. The manager was an absolute sweetheart and was super apologetic and helped us with the situation but we never saw either of the individuals working security again. No apology, no explanation, nothing.
We ended up just leaving everything in our cart because we didn’t want to stay another second and are so worried about ever going back because what if this happens again?
Genuinely wondering how this can happen and cannot help but wonder if this is due to discrimination. My girlfriend and I are very clearly lesbian and my girlfriend (who is more masculine presenting) was the main target of all of this. We plan to go back tomorrow to speak to the day manager and get an apology from the individuals who humiliated us and more specifically, from the woman who shouted at us and laughed at us the entire time. Other customers were coming up to us asking if we were okay because it was such an...
Read moreTerrible experience! My husband and I shop at TJ Maxx frequently and have been to many all over the country. We are also being mindful of Covid and are well aware that they have been closing early for months now. We arrived at 6:30 and couldn't get in the door without two employees telling us, "you know we close in 30 minutes." Then less than 5 minutes after that, we were hunted down by a 3rd employee to let us know that same thing. Then 5 minutes after that, they begin yelling (and I mean loud) over the speakers that they are closing (and it was a lengthy announcement). At 6:50, another employee came right up behind us (not a safe thing to do in this pandemic!) and said, you need to get in line now. We are closed. Whaaat? It was not even 6:55 yet, let alone 7! Needless to say, it is difficult to get your shopping done (as well as maddening!) when this is the micromanaging and disruptive type of shopping experience you get here! Just post your hours and then make one announcement at ten till. And also, close at 7 if that's when you close. Don't start shoving people out the door from...
Read moreThe store was stocked well which it hasn't been in a while. I arrived at seven PM on a Sunday. That's plenty of time for me to shop Try anything on and check out by 8o'clock. But unfortunately they start announcing at 7:15 that the dressing rooms will be closed in 5 minutes and the store will be closed in 45 minutes. It's such a Debbie downer. I just wanted to leave. As if that's not bad enough they continue up until 8 o'clock to announce that they will be closing. Ridiculous the place is as bad as Walmart. The only difference is that Walmart is so inviting that they make sure to tell you if you're not in line by they're closing That you will not be allowed to check out at all. At least t j maxx has somebody that will check you out and you don't have to do it yourself. There's no customer service Anywhere anymore. I don't know why everybody's still closing early. I'd rather shop used or refurbished any more. At least you get a real person and somebody that cares About...
