I am deeply disappointed with how my botched haircut at this salon was handled. My stylist that i normally go to in Asheville was out of town. I just needed a long layer hair trim. So I thought what would be the harm in getting a trim at another place, right? Sara at studio capelli asked if I wanted a shampoo. I declined as I'd just washed my hair the night before. She didn't ask if I wear my hair straight or curly. She did a dry cut. At the end, she water sprayed the ends to scrunch it up. I didn't realize the extent of her bad cut until I got home. I noticed one side of my hair was noticeably shorter than the other. As I combed it out, I was in shock about how uneven it was. The long layers were gone, and my hair was uneven and jagged. I paid $40 for the cut and had given a 20% tip. I emailed the owner Amy about it and attached pictures. No one contacted me for 2 days. Finally, Sara called back. She asked that I come back to have her "fix" my hair. I declined, as I would never let her touch my hair again. I asked for a refund. She refused. I asked to speak to the Owner, to which Sara replied that she (Sara) was as high up as I could go to complain because she is an independent stylist who rents a booth there. I asked again to speak to the Owner of the shop, Amy. She refused. I asked to speak to a different stylist. Chelsea (or Kelce) came to the phone. I asked her to please have the owner of the studio call me back. She said that she could give the owner the message but she doubted that Amy would call me back. I was stunned! Wouldn't the owner want to know about the quality of her stylists and the reviews on her website?? Amy did finally call me back. She sided with Sara that curly hair doesn't have to be "even and symmetrical." LOL. I asked for a refund. It was going to cost more money to fix this botched cut. She refused but offered to fix the cut for me. After her blatant disregard for how Sara cut my hair, I declined. Amy didn't seem to care that I was going to post a review on her website. Stunning. Amy said that Sara was one her best stylists and had been there a long time. When I mentioned the one star review Sara had received on a botched cut in December, she became defensive and put down the poster of that review, like it was her fault. Unbelievable. So, I went back to my regular stylist to fix the damage. She was appalled at the poor quality of the cut. She said it reminded her of a parent cutting her kids bangs with a bowl the day before school...
Read moreThis salon ruined my hair. If they want to call themselves professional beauticians, they would have known when my hair was overprocessed. I went in to get a silver balayage. My hair was dark brown & I knew it wouldâve taken more than one day to do. The girl who was going to do it wasnât there that day. So I went to a different girl who works there instead, trusting them because the other girl did a great job on making my hair black. I should have never went. She put me under the dryer for 3 hours and overprocessed my hair to no end. She toned my hair twice and then dried my hair on way too hot of a setting. I went for a balayage and she put blonde (not even gray) all the way up to the top of my head on both sides. My hair turned green and a weird yellow color. She then overcharged me $277 and was going to tell me to come back the next week to get it the gray color. I did not go back. If I wouldâve went back my hair wouldâve fallen out. The next day I took a shower and went to brush my hair and my hair began to fall out and felt like wet noodles. I then had to go to a different hair salon 3 times since June to get my hair healthy with protein treatments. Donât go to that salon!!! I almost lost my hair because of them. Never...
Read moreI had been going to Anne Mathis(the owner) for many years! She had done a pretty good job. However, she cut me short one time and I was unhappy, but continued going to her. HUGE MISTAKE ON MY PART! I continued to go, however, then she did it AGAIN! SHE CUT ME SOOOOO SHORT. MY BANGS WERE NO LONGER THAN THE MIDDLE OF MY FOREHEAD! I SPECIFICALLY SAID I DID NOT WANT MORE THAN l/2 TO 1 INCH OFF MY HAIR ALL AROUND. ONLY A TRIM I NEEDED ON BANGS. OMG! I COULD BARELY PUT MY HAIR IN A PONYTAIL WITH SOOOO MUCH LEFT HANGING DOWN! SHE LEFT A TAIL (THAT'S WHAT I CALL IT) IN THE BACK OF MY HAIR THERE WAS AT LEAST 3-4 INCHES LONGER THAN THE REST OF MY HAIR! I NEW RIGHT THEN AND THERE WAS NOOOOOO WAY I WAS "EVER" GOING BACK TO HER! SHE OBVIOUSLY DID NOT CARE AND DID WHATEVER SHE WANTED. SHE KEPT TALKING TO ALL HER STAFF AND ENGAGING IN THEIR CONVERSATIONS WITHOUT CONCENTRATING ON MY HAIR..... AS IT WAS GETTING SHORTER AND SHORTER BY THE MOMENT. MY REQUEST FOR NO MORE THAN AN INCH (AND SHE ALSO SAID I WILL TAKE NO MORE THAN AN INCH) WELL..... I AM WRITING THIS TO HOPEFULLY LET SOMEONE ELSE BE AWARE OF THIS SITUATION! I FEEL THAT SHE JUST DIDNT CARE AND DID WHATEVER SHE WANTED. WELL.....I WILL NOT EVER COME BACK...
