Quaint little business. I've been wanting to go for a while but the hours of operation are kinda all over the place. There's a lot of signs all over this place. Signs for everything. The falafel was sadly dry and overcooked but the oil to fry them really needs to be changed. It was pretty bad and the fries too, sadly. The hummus was creamy and delicious. The little side salad thing on the falafel plate was strange and needed to be tossed. There was crunch left on the veggies and the separation of the yogurt was not good. The gyro was really good. Meat tender and not overcooked. Fresh veggies and warm Pita. The place needs a good ceiling to floor cleaning and please remove some signs. It's too much! They have belly dancing classes woth of course signs. The drink machine had zero options ALL were out- no syrup. The lemonade was good. She directed us towards the iced tea. It was made a couple days ago and had a fermented rancid taste so lemonade was the drink for us. I would go back and get the gyro plate with hummus. I would probably take...
Read moreFull of character and charm, Pita Express won my heart the minute I walked in the door. It's a small restaurant with a fantastic vibe and absolutely delicious food. The falafel sandwich 🥙 was one of the best I've had. A generous serving with all the right ingredients. I ordered a side Greek salad which was equally as good and has just the right amount of dressing and goat cheese - yum 😋!
And the owner who serves you with a big smile is also a belly dancer teacher! Trying to talk my wife into some lessons...trust me you would not want to see me belly dancing. The food I consume these reviews tends to land directly there, it would not be very pretty
I have to say, this is the first restaurant I've been to that offers actual lessons. Been to a few Morocon restaurants that had belly dancers, but let's not digress.
Pita Express, a great place for lunch, and they serve what looks like a fantastic breakfast. I saw a lamb omelette on the menu, so I will have to come back...
Read moreThis place use to be really good. I ordered a gyro a $10 PLATE!! I got a hand full of fries and three pieces of lamb meat about three inches long each. My family ordered 4 falafel plates. We didn't want fries and just water with the plate to make a little cheaper. She said we could order a side of fries instead and that would make it cheaper. So the falafel plate is 7.99 each and I ordered 4 of them that is $32 with out tax. My gyro plate was $9.99. that comes to $42 before tax. Our meals with the small side of fries was $49 total. Doesn't sound cheaper to me. She charged us the same price for the falafel plates even with out drink or fries. Who knows what she charged us for the side of fries. We were so hungry I didn't argue. That is really a dishonest place and I would be on caution when walking in. The food from two years ago there was good and you left feeling satisfied. But now they are just charging more and giving less. You won't see me...
