I was in the Apple Valley Aldi about an hour ago. It is by far my favorite store in the area and I frequent it. This was the first time I had a negative experience, and I blame management for it. When preparing to check out, there were at least 20 people stretched the entire length of the store in one check stand line. There was only one clerk and no other employees were seen. I’ve never seen a back up like this and you could tell people were annoyed since there’s six check stands. I waited patiently and saw a couple people with very few items leave the store not willing to wait. When I reached the clerk I asked why there wasn’t any assistance or additional lane open. She curtly said two employees were at lunch! So let me get this straight, a manager lets two employees (I’m deducing there’s three employees on premises) during peak 6:00pm rush hour shopping. The whole time I was thinking a good manager would have been out there helping, not hunkered behind the mirrored glass in the office or at lunch. Besides, who let’s two employees go on break at the same time if you only have three working?! Needless to say, it appeared to be preventable. Then you leave a solo female clerk to suffer the brunt of patrons giving her a hard time. To make it worse, they were out of plastic bags. Come on Aldi, you...
Read moreAldi has a problem of where the check out line starts. If you go down the last row of sequence, you are in the wrong hidden line sometimes. Won't know it till someone moves into line. Then you see ten shoppers in an obscure line. Some nice products, but inherently out of some. Cauliflower crust pizza for one. Also a quarter to get a cart, refundable if you chain it back up. But not really yours as they DEMAND your cart to throw your things back in as you check out. (Oh they won't bag, just throw your things, you can figure it out later) Not very American to as they are not an American chain. The Bear Valley road today had an employee screaming at another in how he F'ed this and that up stocking, it continued until I left.
Drama if you want it . No change trying to figure out what line to get into, what register opening or closing. Don't have Topo Chico water...
Read moreThe store its self was nice . Very clean and welcoming . There wasn’t any music playing which was different . Being new to the store , there wasn’t a clear sign on where “ the line started” other customers were asking us if we were starting the line which was confusing . The cashier we were with was extremely rude . She had glasses and a a ghost face tattoo on her arm . Us not knowing how the store operated I ask her if we need to bring up the heavier or bulkier items and she scoffed at us and said “ I kinda need them up here “ and proceeds to sigh really loud and grab the items . We had a lot of items and I needed the heavier items back under the cart . She proceeds to just put them in the cart so I moved them and she also rolled her eyes and sighed. It was very rude especially it being our first...
