IN BOBA — Restaurant in Hesperia

Our usual spot is the Organic Tea House on Highway 18, but this please opened up recently and we decided to give it a try. Located in Hesperia, (some don't know this) in the Aldi shopping center at the corner of Fish Hatchery Road and Bear Valley, this is a new tea house offering your typical boba, slushee, and appetizers for your enjoyment. This is just right over the Mojave River bridge on the south side of Bear Valley Road. We tried the House Milk Tea, Taro slushie, and popcorn chicken. It came out to $21 and some change with tax. They only offer one drink size and food size. Made ordering a bit simpler. The drinks and food were great and ready quickly. We ordered the popcorn chai Ken for $6.50. We ordered it mild and it came with a sweet and sour sauce. The batter tasted like a authentic Chinese restaurant, think fried pork chop with spicy salt taste! The dining room is brand new of course and has a fair amount of seating. Menu and displays were neat and showed a variety of drinks. I would definitely recommend trying this place out. Customers are not always right, but these businesses need customers to survive so it goes both ways. Support local HD businesses who appreciate their customers! ...

Decided to try their chicken as had heard this place is good. Walking inside can definitely tell this is a tea place. Number of people enjoying the tea inside and no one trying the food. Staff was friendly and got what they said was most popular. The medium heat wings with the sweet and sour sauce. I got it to go. I give them props as they put the sauce on the side so wings would stay crispy. That bwing said the wings were ok. The rub for the heat they sprinkle on the wings was ok. The medium was not very warm. The sauce was ok. To me they just didn't pair well. The wings themselves were good. Bottom line if you are there having some tea and hungry cool. They are not wings to go out of...

I tried this boba place for the first time today through Doordash. I got an avocado smoothie with crème brûlée and my partner got an orange yogurt drink. My drink was delicious and I really liked it but my partner’s was very watery and had no yogurt flavor to it. I paid $11 for the yogurt drink alone so we were very disappointed. It wasn’t an issue of ice melting either because he ordered it with light ice and my smoothie was still frozen when it arrived. Not sure what went wrong with that drink but next time, we’ll order in person so if there’s an issue we can get help.

Edit: Nevermind, my avocado smoothie has bits and pieces of the skin inside… and sour...
