Just to be clear: The ONLY reason I gave two stars was because, when I first started going here, the woman who cut my hair did a fantastic job. That being said, I went to this salon for almost 10 years and I saw the same woman everytime. It wasn't until after she had difficulty cutting my 2 year old's hair (he has SPD), that she would no longer accept me as a client. So, due to that discrimination, I have just winged it with who cuts my hair, getting a LOT of messed up cuts. After my hair was messed up last week, I called to make an appointment at Jagged Edge, hoping since it was just me needing the appointment and it was just to even up my hair and fix the layers, the woman would accept me back just this one time. It would be an easy fix job, wouldn't take long. But of course, she wouldn't make an appointment to see the me and recommended a different girl that she said was very experienced and great with cuts like mine instead. Let's just say that was soooooo far from the truth, I actually am curious if she did it on purpose. The girl (and I do mean girl) that hacked away at my hair, was extremely inexperienced, had no clue what she was doing and by the time I was able to see that there was barely anything left to fix, I told her "thanks, let's just stop here". I still paid for the cut. My hair takes BUTCHERED to a new level, it's almost funny. I honestly think my now 3 year old could have cut hair better. At one point as she was cutting, she jerked her hand and literally bit her lip and cringed! She was so nervous her hand was shaking the entire time. I have legit CHUNKS of hair missing in places, I went from almost at my neck length to at my ears. The only way to fix it now is to a have longer pixie. I have no clue what she was doing, my mom used to cut hair and looked at my hair and said it looked like she had several different cuts going on. I have never had hair so short and so butchered. I honestly am still in shock. I can't even style it. If she couldn't do the cut she should have asked for help or just admitted defeat. I called the manager the same day and left a message explaining what happened and asked her to please call me back. I still haven't heard back from her.
An update to the response from owner: First, let me start by saying that one should only apologize if they actually mean it. Secondly, my review on the other salon has changed after the owner called to work out a resolution. It showed she truly cares for her customers and business. Not only was she kind and understanding, she wanted to make things right. Thirdly, I have left a review on your salon in the past praising that stylist and sent a LOT of people to your salon telling them how amazing that stylist and your salon were. However, after waiting three days to hear back from you, I changed my review. After your response, my opinion of your salon, customer service and business sense has drastically changed, as it shows how much you don't care for your customers or the integrity of...
Read moreI absolutely LOVE Jagged Edge, the staff, and more importantly my hairstylist Brandi! BTW THANK YOU BRANDI you did it again yesterday evening! My hair looks beautiful! After having my grandmother do my hair as a baby until four years ago or so ,I was so scared to go anywhere else, much less anyone else touching my hair, lol. My grandmother is getting older and I just wanted to spend time with her, not her and the salon :-D It was time to find a new hairstylist. By the grace of God, I took the plunge and went to Jagged Edge after I spoke with Brandi. She instantly eased my anxiety. Since that day I have been going to her every 6-7 weeks for the past few years and I have ALWAYS got the best hair care, and the best results. Can't help but mention the salon conversations. It's the only place I am excited and happy about going to after a full day of work and completely exhausted. I just want to say thank you to everyone at Jagged Edge, you guys are an awesome team (your conversations are hilarious too, lol)! I wouldn't go anywhere else. BTW, sorry if you are getting swamped i refer everyone to you because everyone always ask me who does my hair LOL! See...
Read moreLisa, my daughter, Samantha; gave a “negative review “ . Was simply because ( and didn’t give a great one for all the years we came there) was because it her hurt her to watch the hairdresser we had for so long , walk by her several times and not check in ( I asked her to) when I made the appointment. The great hairdresser didn’t have a customer at the time her hair was being cut. She could of simply said “hello” and “ given the young lady some advice. The young hairdressers hands were shaking ( 6 months out of school) some advice from previous hairdresser. That is all Sam wanted was to feel like her first hairdresser could of asked “ How are things going “ , “ how are you doing “ . A simple remedy to the issue. To just feel like she was still welcome and that our hairdresser for years cared. BTW I gave you a great review and sent...
