Unfortunately, I did not have the experience I was hoping for with Maroon Bridal. My journey began at the wedding expo at Old Wicks in early February 2025, where I booked my appointment for May 17th at 11:00 AM. The booking process was pleasant and easy at the time. The day before my appointment, I received a message from Holly at the shop asking if I could come in earlier, between 8:00â8:30 AM, due to staffing issues. They offered $100 off a dress for making the change. Unfortunately, that time didnât work for me or my group, so I politely declined and kept my original appointment time. On the day of the appointment, we accidentally went to their old location. That was my mistakeâI didnât double-check the address in my confirmation email and instead just searched the shop in Maps. Thankfully, the new location was only about a mile away, and we arrived just five minutes late. The owner explained that they had to move recently, at the end of February, due to issues with their previous landlord. This explained why the new space looked somewhat unrefined and, for lack of a better word, dingy. We were shown to our private room, which was small but workable. However, I must mention that the loveseat in the room had a large, mystery stain that was off-putting, and overall, the shop felt a bit unclean. Despite that, we continued with the appointment. I was asked about the type of gown I was interested in by our first consultantâpossibly the owner, though Iâm not certain. I shared my preferences and was given scrunchies to place on hangers of dresses I liked across three small rooms. At no point did the staff help select dresses based on the interests I had shared. It seems they rely solely on you and your party to search the inventory, which is fine, but not what I was expecting from a bridal appointment. I tried on a few gowns with limited assistance. Staff clipped the dresses once I stepped out, but I had to request help getting in and out of themâwhich I feel should be more proactive, especially with how cumbersome bridal gowns can be. My party was told, rather bluntly, that they could help me "at their own risk" and that if a dress was damaged, theyâd be responsible for purchasing it. I was then passed off to a second consultant. It was her first day, and with the shop being short-staffed, we tried to be understanding. Still, she wasnât as helpful or knowledgeable as we had hoped for such a significant purchase. Some members of my party quietly commented on the lack of support, and another staff member sharply told them they needed to âhave graceâ for the new hire. I felt bad for the second consultantâit seemed she was thrown into a difficult situation without the proper support. There was one dress I was on the fence about, but I decided not to purchase it and wanted to check out another shop first. After leaving, my group unanimously agreed that due to the overall experience, we didnât feel comfortable buying from Maroon Bridal. Fortunately, I found my dream dress elsewhere and had the positive shopping experience I had hoped for. Overall Rating: 3 stars Iâm giving 3 stars instead of 2 because there were clearly circumstances beyond the staffâs controlâlike the move and staffing issues. However, the overall customer service left a lot to be desired, especially given the tone and attitude we encountered more than once. For such a high-cost and emotional purchase, our expectations were not met. I wish Maroon Bridal the best of luck and sincerely hope theyâre able to improve the experience for...
Read moreY'all are sleeping on this dress shop if you haven't been yet! My daughter actively seeks out businesses that are customer driven and is also very financially aware. She chose to book an appointment here so I gladly drove almost 2 hours, knowing due diligence had been done. There were several times Harley (co-owner) was literally on the floor helping us to see all possibilities with individual dresses. Hannah (our stylist) never batted an eye at the requests made from our party of 7. They both TRULY listened to what the Bride to Be wanted as well as what the ones from her trusted friends and family wanted for her. She said Yes to THE PERFECT DRESS and it was because of the mindfulness and kindness of this small business! Side note: I decided to play TS during the drive and Never Grow Up smacked me right in the face as I left. Be smart and choose a different LP if you plan to...
Read moreThe customer service and selection of options for the bride was great. The taylor swift theme is so much fun! We did catch them at a time they were moving into their new place so I'll give them some grace on a few things. Needed paper towels and trash can in the bathroom. The lighting was lacking so it was difficult to see the sparkle or details of the dresses. Again, I'm sure that was due to them just moving in and still making adjustments. I do wish they had more options for the flower girls, but we were told they don't have a market for that. Overall, we did enjoy the space for try on and they were very knowledgeable and never...
