I’ve been wanting to write this review for a long time. We bought our daughter a Kawai ES520B electric piano before sending her off to college this fall so she would be able to continue to play. We went to Grafton, because it’s important for a pianist to be able to feel the action of the piano under your fingers and find out if you like the sound. Jennifer Sanders was very helpful and very knowledgeable and helped us try several pianos. The price was comparable to any price online, and I’m also very happy that they have a repairman on staff as well as an excellent warranty. As high quality as this piano is, eventually things begin to wear out, and having someone who knows how to fix an electric piano is a rare find, I think.
Some people suggested I buy online, but that is a bad idea, for several reasons. First, why would I give my money to some billionaire instead of to a local family who is living and working in my own community? Do we want to keep making the rich richer, and then complain when real companies run by real people go out of business, causing more people to be out of work and on unemployment? Why would you do that on purpose? Second, these are smart people. They know you can buy online, so they keep their prices reasonable, and they have the added benefit of the knowledge, the warranty, and the repair staff. When you buy online, you get none of that, you can’t try it out first, and you could get junk. Third, it is unethical and a form of theft to go into a store with no intention of buying from them, try out the product, pick the person’s brain, and then buy online. It’s mean.
If you want to stop a handful of people from owning the world, buy local. If you want to keep people in your community in business and able to feed their children, buy local. If you want to have a beautiful piano and the people to back you up, buy local – from Grafton’s. Thank you, Grafton Piano, and thank you Jennifer, for the great piano for Anna-Grace....
Read moreI was in desperate need of an organ for my new church plant in Wilmington Delaware. I’ve searched restlessly on the internet and locally for a Hammond B3 which was tremendously hard to find due to the fact that this legendary organs are highly reliable and work like tanks. I couldn’t find one and I did my research and was told by musicians that an A100 with the right Leslie amp will give me that famous B3 sound. So I went on another binge search for A100 Hammond organs which was surprisingly hard as well. I didn’t give up hope and came across Grafton Piano & Organ Company and saw a beautiful Hammond A100 organ in minted condition and with a 242 Leslie (122) speakers. I reached out to the company via text message number they provided for their customers which was impressive to me and they communicated with me every step of the way in purchasing the organ that was still available. I came into the store and saw many beautiful organs and grand pianos. The best part is my experience with this company was the rich family history and legacy it maintains. I was able to speak with the family and get a better understanding of this family business and I found out that they have a heart to help church planters. I knew this was the right place to purchase my first organ. I love their customer service and professionalism and knowledge of their products. The organ tech was always very helpful and made sure everything after purchasing was great and working effectively. The organ has been installed in the church and it sounds amazing. I highly recommend Grafton Piano & Organ Company for any church or school or music group and etc who’s looking an amazing organ or piano. Look no further. This great company will deliver! They even help deliver the organ safely to the church and installed it. I love this company and...
Read moreAfter much deliberation, my family are very happy owners of a new Kawai GX-2 grand piano purchased at a very reasonable price from Glenn Grafton at Grafton piano in Souderton, PA. This was a significant investment for my family, but the piano is worth it. It sounds amazing. We shopped around and primarily compared the Boston GP-178 PE, and Yamaha CX2. The sound quality of the GX-2 beat out the others in our opinion. Glenn was always helpful, super knowledgeable and friendly, and not at all pushy throughout our lengthy decision-making process. Before making our final decision, I asked Glenn if he could send me an audio recording of our piano to allow me to compare without having to drive back in to the store. He happily went into the store that day to make a very impressive recording that showed both sound quality and range of the piano. I easily listened to the recording over 10 times. He also sent photos and additional information to further inform our purchase. I was very happy to give Glenn and his family-run business our business. They are a very genuine, thoughtful, and responsive company and prioritize the right things. The piano has since been delivered without incident. Josh and Brian were very careful and made sure I was happy with its location in the room before they left. I would highly recommend Grafton piano to anyone in the market for a piano. We shopped around before we decided and had good experiences at other stores in the 1 hour radius, but I definitely preferred Grafton’s sales approach which was much more comfortable, personal, and not at all pushy, as compared to the...
