Prior experience here was great, today’s was the opposite of that. The NP saw my 1.5 yo for croup. The NP told me my son “doesn’t no how to cough yet” that’s why his cough was barky.. I took a video of my son coughing from the middle of the night so he could hear it since you can’t get kids to cough on command. He told me he’d have to hear the cough in person himself to diagnose.. I told him my sons symptoms get better when I take him outside in the cold (like croup symptoms tend to) and he said don’t go outside the allergies will make him worse..then told me since “kids this age can’t have medications” he just needs a humidifier. I told him he was given a steroid last time he had croup since the second night is usually when their breathing gets tighter. He seemed surprised by this but agreed to order it just incase we needed it. Went to my pharmacy to find he ordered my 1.5 yo tablets, like for adults. After I and the pharmacist called we were told he resent the order. Only to find that he actually cancelled the order. Again the pharmacist called and was told he’d place the order again and correctly. It’s now 2 hours later and the pharmacy confirmed they still don’t have an order. I got to urgent care at 9, it’s...
Read moreGot here when they opened, had to fill out paperwork online which you can do at home if you schedule an appointment instead of walk-in. About 30 minute wait, called back to pt room and waited another 10-15 minutes after vitals and throat swab taken(wanted to check for strep, the reason I came). Nice staff here, felt very comfortable. Much quicker than regular doc office and so much closer. Only 1 or 2 people ahead of me. Kind of expensive but that was my choice to not go to my own doctor. Saved me over an hour of driving. No one wants to do that when they’re not feeling well. However I do wish I had been seen by the nurse practitioner in addition to the student. I came in with a sore throat and had white spots. The nurse who brought me back said “So you want us to test for strep?” I was like yea I’m here to get this looked at. She swabbed it and then after a while the nursing prac student came in and asked me of I had any allergies to meds. No other info, I had to learn about tonsil stones myself through a Google search and it would’ve been nice to be told what the spots could be besides strep. So after 3 days on antibiotic I learned that it could be tonsil stones and have been removing...
Read moreI went to this place for a recent illness. I was greeted by a woman who told me she was the manager/director? Her name was Amanda. She spoke to me and my fiance like we were children trying to explain my insurance to me and wanting me to pay up front because she could not verify my insurance properly. I am a medical billing specialist by trade and the info she was giving to me was completely wrong. She would not listen and pretty much told me my option was to pay or got to Er. She had another female sitting with her and she was muttering under her breath. I find this behavior to be extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. All they care about is how much money they are bringing in, not caring for the patient. She was very condescending and should learn how to speak to patients. All she had to do was give me a minute to speak and I would have told her which website to go on to verify . Will not be going back or referring any of my friends and family but will be explaining how they treat potential patients and customers. BAD...
