Came in two days ago with a Large storage bag and a small tote bag. The large storage bag had about 50-60 items in it and the small had 5, maybe 6. I asked for a text when my buy was complete. Waited an hour and a half. Got my text. I went back, and they told me they were buying 5 items, all of which were from the small bag. In other words they bought probably everything in that bag. yet, the large bag was totally untouched. I mean all items still folded/rolled exactly as I had them. The cashier (very young woman) told me the big bag had been passed on for “dated brands” in it that the store wasn’t buying - I mean there were many of the same brands as the first bag, but I have sold to a different location before so I did fully expect to receive a certain amount of items back. But. it was VERY evident once I took my bag back, that no one had even looked at my stuff. And the fact that they bought everything out of the first bag, tells me it’s highly unlikely all 60 of the others were a pass. It just HAPPENED In to be that I packed all the buyable items in the small bag (the one that’s almost no work to sort). In total, I wasted two hours packing up my clothing, and hour driving total, and an hour and a half for the time they were pretending to check my bag. I will never go back to this location and I just read a very similar review on Willow Grove’s page as well. Dana did my buy at Hatfield....
Read moreI have to agree with alot of the previous reviews... yes, the employees are usually very nice but most of them should definitely not be the ones making the buying choices based on their own style choices. I have two daughters at home, very trendy, that unfortunately waste alot of clothing they buy, all trendy, most unworn or barely worn, all name brands. This Platos turns down so many great items and gives you the typical saying that we cannot buy these items based on outdated trends or overwear which I PROMISE you, they are not, I'm not bitter cause they didnt buy my stuff, just so very confused and really want the store to do better like it used to.This trip we had Tommy Hillfiger, Hollister, American Eagle, Urban Outfitters, Free People, Brandy Mellville, Forever 21, etc.... all like new, all bought this year or last, and some tags attached! Then you walk around the store and they have the ugliest clothing from the early 2000's as well as stained clothing, clothing with pilling all over it, clothing from Walmart, it's so crazy!! If you do find something it will cost you more than it might have been at the store! I found a dress I liked from AE and paid more for it then the ticket price that was still on it! It really is frustrating to shop here anymore. I think if they hired a buyer or two that know what is stylish and trendy they would do...
Read moreThere's nothing wrong with the store itself, it was clean and as organized as a thrift store can be, but let me say that the music in here is WAY TOO LOUD. They were blasting Beyonce so loud it was hard to hear the associate when she greeted me (I think anyways). I filled out the forms for the items I brought in and was told about 20 minutes. No problem, I had 2 bags and shoes. I was shopping around when I noticed one of the employees (a guy) trying on one of my items and taking pictures! It was a hat I decided to part with from Claire's. The male was on his phone a majority of the time, along with another girl with green hair. Once I let 30 minutes pass, I went up with one item and told them I had stuff I brought in. They handed everything back EXCEPT THE HAT, which they would give me $2 for. I had Vera Bradley items in good condition, clothing with tags, and shoes still in the box. The male employee who helped me said, "Vera doesn't sell well enough for them to accept." And yet, you have them in the store for sale. He didn't answer me when I said that. Customer service here needs to improve ASAP. Most of the employees seemed to busy with their phones and music, and many customers were handed back their items "due to style quality." I won't be coming back here anytime soon. It only is a 2 star rating because of the store...
