This review is all about DAN (a gentleman in this store who handles issues with deliveries) . I recently ordered all new kitchen appliances from this store. The only thing that was damaged when delivery day came was the range hood. Setting up a delivery for a replacement was easy. It was scheduled to come on 12/20, which I had requested because I had this day off from work. 12/20 came and went and the delivery service never came. We called to find out why and were told that the manufacturer never got the delivery team the replacement on time in order for them to deliver it to me on 12/20, and that someone from the manufacturer was supposed to call and notify us (no one ever called and I sat around waiting from 12-4). Then, my husband calls the delivery company and is told something completely different; that the product was damaged in transit to them from the manufacturer and they are waiting for a new one so they can deliver it to me. Then, I called the manufacturer and they knew nothing about these two scenarios that I had been given and still had notes in their system it would still be delivered to me that day. As you can imagine, I went back and forth between these two companies getting NOWHERE as they just kept pointing the finger at each other. I turned to Home Depot for help, as it is the delivery company they hire to deliver these products customers order at the store. The delivery company is called RAS delivery. Home Depot has a department just for handling order / delivery issues. I spoke to Dan. This review is all about him. He deserves an award for excellence in customer service and problem solving. He listened to everything I had to say, told me he was going to help me and that is what he did. He spent hours on the phone on my behalf trying to get to the bottom of what the real problem was and whose problem it was. There was a point that I hadn’t heard back from him in the time frame he estimated that I shouldve heard back from him so I called him and one of his coworkers answered and told me he was still working on it and that he would be in touch. DAN called me back not even 5 minutes later to tell me that he just wanted to give me peace of mind hearing his voice on the line and to tell me that he is still on the phone with them doing everything he can to get this settled. He was fantastic , went above and beyond and showed that he cares about customers, and made me feel calm in knowing that someone was on my team because the other two companies I was dealing with were not helpful AT ALL! Great job Dan, thank you for...
Read moreWe ordered a replacement refrigerator on Sunday, April 12, 2020. At the time of the order, we were assured it was in stock and would be delivered that Friday, April 17, 2020, with a phone call the day before to provide a 4 hour window.
Fast forward to Friday morning, when we call the Hilltown, PA store and it is shared with us that our order was never placed, so it cannot be delivered by LG until Friday, April 24, 2020. We attempted to address the lack of communication, but store associates simply blame the distributor.
I called moments ago, as we did not receive a confirmation call for delivery tomorrow. It is now being shared that the delivery will not occur until Wednesday, April 29, 2020. Again, I would not have learned this information if I did not reach out.
I certainly understand that things happen and schedules can change. However, the lack of ownership and communication is frustrating. We have now twice made arrangements to be home to accept a delivery that apparently was never going to happen.
Furthermore, the associate I spoke with cut me off while I was speaking, did not apologize, and continued to pass blame. Who is responsible for ensuring communication occurs? Where is the accountability. We paid significant monies to Home Depot directly for a service — not to LG or a delivery company. Very disappointed. Guess I need to wait and see if our fridge decides to miracle itself...
Read moreMy local home Depot. If you're like me then you're know stranger to this place. I like to look up items online first just so I know exactly where to go once I'm at Home Depot. I get all the of my DIY skills from YouTube and online searching but before I go gun-ho on a project I'll chat up one of the floor associates in the orange aprons and briefly talk about my project. I'm my experience most of these people come from backgrounds that reflect the items in the department. This is a great way to get tips and tricks and some experienced feedback on our amateur endeavors into home improvement.
Removed one star due to lumber quality which seems to be an ongoing issue but honestly I would remove a half star if I could. Make sure when you pick up your lumber it's not bowed (curved). Best way to tell is to bring the end of the lumber to your eye and look down, should be easy to tell. That or put it on a flat surface, dose it Rock back and forth or not lay flat? No good and put it back. Make sure you check two faces which share a corner. You can always return lumber which you find your be bowed, it's just a pita when we're trying to get stuff done.
Also the the dimensions of the lumber, width and hight wise, is almost always smaller then advertised. Things that make you say hummmmm. All that said maybe take the time to visit your local lumber yard and tell em...
